...though, I must say that Blackthorn is without a doubt my least favoured but unfortunately most purchased cider around. I do not spend a great deal of time drinking in the house and if I do there is inevitably a bottle of wine or brandy open for my consumption. Having moved house a year ago though I have been distraught to find that all my local pubs have Blackthorn on tap as opposed to either a sweet or medium cider. Blackthorn is about as dry as ... ...is also the fact that Blackthorn cider tends to be carbonated to death. In other words, open bottle, leave for half an hour, then drink otherwise you run the risk of the stuff flowing out of your nose rather than down your throat upon first swig. Alcohol.
At 6% this stuff is certainly going to do the job it was made for i.e. get you bladdered. Note that percentage lager drinkers and reflect on how much cider is a woman’s drink. 9 out of 10 wino’s ...

Advantages: GETS YOU TOTALLY RAT ARSED! Disadvantages: HANGOVERS ARE IMMINENT
I myself am usually a lager drinker or sometimes i do like to unwind with a pint of guinness. But after i trip to my local off license i found myself buying two three litre bottles of blackthorne which were on special offer for a fiver.
After chilling them in the freezer for an hour i cracked open my first bottle.Cider is incredibly easy to pour so you don't need to be a bar worker to get the perfect pint.
I took my first mouthful and almost heaved ... ...a thought it would be like.It does have a sweet apple like taste and when it's ice cold it can play havoc with sensitive teeth.
Blackthorne cider is very gassy as it is as fizzy as a can of coke.It has a distinctive orangy colour that resembles urine after a night out on the town.
By the time i finished my first pint i was thinking of ways to spruce it up a little so i decided to add some blackcurrent cordial that i had in the fridge.
BINGO... ...

Advantages: Great taste, cheap, refreshing Disadvantages: Makes you sick if you drink with lager!
...cider another chance, I think Blackthorn cider will prove quite pleasing.
This cider is NOT the cheap nasty tripe you will have probably tasted before, it is very fine and crisp in taste and won’t make you vomit then go blind after a few swigs. It is very refreshing, more so than any lager or beer can ever hope to be, it is a sweet (but not overly so) taste and a balanced fizz (not too fizzy, not too flat). Making it taste overall quite supreme ... ...do. I am speaking about Blackthorn as if it is something of an upper-class drink but it is fairly cheap in comparison to other drinks anyway.
You should drink your cider not-too-cold but not-too-warm, it should be ‘chilled’ not freezing or luke warm. If it is too cold you may suffer if you have sensitive teeth and if it is a bit warm it was be a little sickly. Blackthorn, like other ciders, is pretty strong and will get you drunk of a few cans or ...

Advantages: Soooooooooo refreshing Disadvantages: Can't stop at one!
This is in my opinion the most beautifull cider. It not only has the sharpness and bright fizz of other ciders but has a deeper earthy taste. It tastes like it could have just been tapped from an old country orchard straight into the can. Here's the product review:
Looks:
Can is black, thorn on front, ciders yellow'ish.......open it!
Usability:
Ringpull is fairly user-friendly although after several ciders grip can become an issue.
Features:
... ...to ammuse tipsy friends. WARNING - do not attempt to crush can on forehead (unless you want to explain the red rings on your forehead at work the next day).
Durability:
Unfortunately doesn't last long at all.
Top tip:
Build up a thirst before drinking for ultimate refreshment. A good way to do this is by challenging someone to a dry cream cracker eating competition and trying to eat as many cream crackers as you can in one minute without water. ...

Advantages: Less gas and bloat than lager Disadvantages: May turn you into a west country yokel
Apples. Lovely. But when they have time to fester (sorry, ferment) and turn into cider, what a dream they become. Go to the supermarket and spend £1.99 - yes, just £1.99 - for a 1.5 litre bottle of the sweet stuff. You want more, you've got more! At the time of writing you can get 50% extra - that's 2.25 litres or at least 4 pints - for the same low, low price of £1.99. Even in Sainsbury's ('making life taste better', at a not inconsiderable expense, ... ...tipple, you must drink it all as they lightly bubbling beverage will be completely flat and undrinkable a day later once opened. It will lull you into a pleasing stupor, but not make you quite as mental as Stella or other strong lagers and thanks to the highly acidic quality of cider it actually comes with its own built in self restraint, i.e. the more you drink it, the slower you drink it, unlike lager which can be a plunge into total booze fuel ...
