I am a university student who decided to order two books to aid me with my final year project. The idea was to order the titles and get underway with my project at the start of my summer holidays. Unfortantly, the delivery date was put back 11 days due to 'the publishers not yet supplying the title' even though the books were advertised as in stock on the website and to my reckoning, the two titles are from two different publishers anyway.
So the 11 days were up and no sign of the books, I receive another two emails telling me yet again the publishers has not supplied the titles and that the delivery date is to be put back an extra 21 days. Although frustrated, I agreed that these things to happens so kept faith that my order will arrive.
Unfortantly, today is new revised ' expected to arrive' date, all in all I have waited 6 weeks and still no books have been delivered, I have logged into my account and the order is still being processed. I am still waiting for yet another email. My advice would be to avoid using blackwells online and choose amazon.
**Update** After contacting blackwells, I received an email (which to their credit was within the same day) telling me that the books might be out of print even though at the time of ordering they were in stock, and yet again the delivery date has been put back, this time by another 3 weeks.However their website shows the titles are available within 3-9 days... I shant hold my breath
