The first time I saw BlanX toothpaste was on the 'idealworld' shopping channel. I ususally don't give in to the sale patter on these programmes but I decided to go for it and got a twin pack for about £14.00-
I have sworn blind over the years by using Euthymol and I still love the hot pink stuff - so it was going to be hard going for another toothpaste to sway me !! which is exactly what BlanX did.
Apparently it has 'long standing Icelandic Secrets' as it contains Arctic lichen (which apparently grows naturally in the Arctic and has been used tradionally by the local people to clean and protect their teeth). The active ingredients attack harmfull bacteria but not the beneficial bacteria found naturally in the mouth. Ideal for sensitive teeth and for all the family to use.
Its non abrasive and used daily it claims to restore teeth to their original natural whiteness without the use of bleach or enamel, whilst protecting. I must admit, the first few times I used it, I really did feel like my teeth had been given a really good clean - and I did begin to notice an improvement in the colour as the days went by. You even get a BlanXometer on the box so you can test the whiteness of your teeth (a before and after thing I guess)
Now I'm not a smoker, so I have no idea what this would be like for people who do smoke, but I do like my coffee and I do like my red wine (which apparently are both bad news for those pearly whites) so I like to try and keep on top of my oral hygene and BlanX is a great little aid from my point of view.
It has a pleasant and refreshing mint flavour that doesn't fade as soon as you brush your teeth - you don't use water with it, just pop it straight onto your brush and get scrubbing! it doesn't need much either and the pump action tube seems to last quite a long time (approx 2months or so for my family of 3 I would say, from the 100ml tube)
Ideal world still have this on their internet site - retailing at £13.99 for a twin pack with BlanX chewing gum - but Boots have started to sell it too for £6.99 and they had it on their 3 for 2 offer lately, so that's the saving I went for when I ran out.
All in all, it is more expensive than your ususal run of the mill toothpastes - and I ususally wouldn't dream of buying one at this price but I really am impressed with BlanX and prepared to 'Treat my Teeth' to a bit of BlanX luxury. I've been BlanX brushing for about 6 months now and would not go back to the 99p shop brands for anything.

I've just bought this myself so I hope it works as well for me as it did for you. :)

Pricey indeed...but if it works....compared to the price of a (usually quite painfull for me) polishing session at my sadist...sorry I meant dentist!
A very usefull and well written review.
