Quality hardware at reasonable price
Advantages: good looks, nice set of attachments, quality, excellent performance Disadvantages: short power cable, wall holder not too practical
We recently bought this device for our new home and are loving it. It really makes it easy to prepare any kind of foods, especially our favorites - shakes, fruit smoothies, purée soups, dough for various types of cakes and so on.
The device comes in a pretty big box, inside is a nice plastic tray with all the parts securely placed. Included are the blender device itself, a small and a big container with lids (with non-slip bases, big one has a handle ... ...ice crusher attachment for the big container, wall holder with screws, user manual (quite clear to understand) and other paperwork.
This hand blender has 15 different speeds plus a turbo speed option available with a separate button. It can slice and dice just about anything, from soft fruits to hard ice. The design is good and ergonomic, quality is excellent and all parts fit together perfectly. Performance is top notch, especially with the turbo ...

Great Smoothie Maker
Advantages: High quality, good performance Disadvantages: None!
I bought this smoothie maker a couple of weeks ago, and am very happy with it. It's a nice design with a brushed aluminum base and simple dial. I use it to make fruit, yogurt and ice smoothies, however, you can use it to make margaritas, ice-blended coffees, milk shakes and even soya milk!! (I will explain later). The jug is made of glass, not plastic and can hold up to 1.25 litres. You can put the glass jar, the lid and measuring cup (which fits ... ...not the removable blade). There is a separate filter that you can put in where the measuring cup is kept (not in photo, but it would be in the centre of the jug). This allows you to put fruits that contain seeds or skin that you don't want 'blended' in your smoothie. By using the filter you can also make soya milk! You have to soak the soya beans first then put in the filter to be 'ground' up with water. There are three different buttons: Smoothie, ...

Best buy as a new mum
Advantages: Quick and simple to use. Blends most foods even red meats. Disadvantages: Can be fiddly to clean
I bought this when I was weaning my 6 month baby boy and I must admit it has revolutionised my life. I am puree mad and everything goes in there from fruit to red meat! It is very simple to master, instructions are provided but to be honest you can pick up the blender and use straight away. The smaller blade in the chopping bowl can be fiddly to clean but you can always pop it in the dishwasher. I also found the chopping bowl can miss chunks of food, ... ...all gets blitzed. One tip: when blending use a dish/container deep enough, because as my kitchen walls have learnt it can tend to spray out. Nevertheless this has been one of my best buys as a new mum and does get used on a daily basis. It has 2 speeds and this is ample to blend even red meat. ...

Kitchen Aid .... possibly the best blender ever??
Advantages: Stlyish, multifunctional, easy to use and clean, built to last Disadvantages: top end price
I have owned my kitchen aid for 6 months now and I can't imagine how I lived in this world without one. This is the only blender I have ever used that is built to withstand the tests of time. It is robust, sturdy but ever so stylish. There are 10 functions in all, including one which crushes ice - a feature many of us dream off but will in all probability never use. It is incredibly easy to clean - which most blenders, really, are not. It is also ...
