YUMMY YUMMY SMOOTHY MAKEY
Review of Kenwood SB256 by new1727

Advantages: STYLIST , VERY QUICK, EASY TO USE
Disadvantages: NOT VERY EASY TO CLEAN

Having had this brought for me as a present over a year ago i have to give it to this mighty machine its still as powerfull and usfull as the day i unwrapped it. THE LOOK: Very chic in silver and black this blender (WELL YOU COULD ALMOST CLASS IT AS A POWER TOOL) looks fab on anyone kitchen surface esp mine. Silver casing black buttons, and plastic mixing jug. USEABILITY: I use mine most days, not just for smoothys but for many other blender useages(WE ...
...MUCH MORE IN IT) this machine is one powerfull contraption. Frozen friut, bread to make breadcrumbs, ice, food for the kids when they were smaller, cheese sauces etc. Its simple to use, the plastic jug and the stiring pole at the top they all come apart for cleaning. The tap on the front lets you pour out your juice/smoothy and with the different buttons you can make things chunky /smooth depending on how you like your drinks. CLEANING IT: This ... Read review

Health in a glass
Review of Kenwood SB307 by jm160

Advantages: Everlasting, tough as old boots, reassuringly heavy and very chic.
Disadvantages: Cleaning it is like nailing a jelly onto a wall - a bit hard and tedious

The first thing you notice about this blender is its sheer, incredible weight. With a chunky glass jug and solid stainless-steel base, it feels expensive, solid and professional. I chose it because all of the appliances in my kitchen are chrome and it matches really well with the general scheme. But as well as being very beautiful, it is without a shadow of a doubt the best blender I've ever owned. The blades are still as sharp as the day I got it; ...
...problems and, If you aren't very careful, you can still cut yourself on them when you're cleaning it. But I don't only use it for smoothies... it also does a great line in soups and cocktails... so when you've finished being healthy, you can get steaming drunk! Its only bad point in cleaning - the tap at the bottom has no problems with thin fluids like orange juice but has trouble coping with chunky or gloopy stuff like banana based smoothies. If ... my powerful wand
Review of Braun MR4000HC by kazbo

Advantages: excellent design, easy to use
Disadvantages: could have a longer flex and a larger chopping bowl

...blender was very sturdy. The Braun chopper bowl does however have a non-slip base to make it safer. I bought mine for £19.44 at Asda, although, according to Ciao it is £2 cheaper on Amazon. At under £20 I think it is good value for money and I don't recommend false economy (like mine!) if you are looking for a quality product for regular use. It even has a 2 year manufacturer's guarantee, so it should last longer than its predecessors! ... Read review

The way to wear your smoothie!
Review of Kenwood BL 440 by SusanLesley

Advantages: Great blender, good price, looks classy
Disadvantages: Care needs to be taken when unscrewing the jug.

...look there and found a Kenwood BL440 which was a blender with a grinder attachment and was just £20. This was ideal for me - I didn't want to pay a fortune for a 'smoothie maker' when this would do the job just as well and I got a grinder as a bonus! The blender has a generous one and a half litre jug with twin speeds and a pulse feature so that you can give you control over the amount of time the blender is operating - for making pates etc. where ...
...small basic unit with stainless steel blades ideal for grinding coffee or chopping nuts. I haven't actually used the grinder on this particular model yet but have used them on other models in the past and have found them quick and efficient. The blender is white with an 'ergonomically designed handle' which is basically a handle that is easy to grip so that you can twist the blender to lock it on the base or remove it from the same. The acrylic ... Read review

Smooth operater
Review of Breville BL6 by ScottishWestie

Advantages: Well made, easy to clean, variety of settings, looks good
Disadvantages: None at present

...my partner bought me a Breville Blender with a brushed stainless steel finish, £39.99 from John Lewis; she chose this model after reading glowing reports about it in a magazine. It certainly looks impressive with its glass jug & stainless steel finish. Its main features are the 1500ml capacity glass jug, 600 watt motor, durable stainless steel blades, rubber sealed top & jug, integrated measuring cup, non skid feet & three speed operation with pulse ...
...a real pain. However the Breville just needs warm water & some washing up liquid added to the jug & switch it on for a few seconds & it will clean itself out very well indeed. Just pour out the soapy water & dry off, job done. The manufacturer states that you must keep your hand on top of the lid when blending but to honest it's probably for health & safety reasons they have stated this as the top is a secure fitting on the jug. The machine performs ... Read review
