Quality hardware at reasonable price

Fantastic Hand Blender/chopper

Advantages: Large containers for blitzing, powerful, variable speeds, pulsing
Disadvantages: Quite expensive - around £60

This Braun blender/chopper is fantastic. I have now thrown away my bulky full size processor. It comes with a 1 litre+ jug so I no longer need to process baby food a bit at a time. The jug also has an attachment to crush ice cubes - great for cocktails. There is also a smaller container which is tall & slim to prevent splashback. Braun MR400HC

Advantages: Very easy to clean, multi-functional, perfect for making baby food
Disadvantages: Cable a bit short

My Mum got this for me when I wanted a hand-blender after my child was born. This blender is great! I use the mixing bowl to turn granulated sugar into castor or icing sugar for baking and it's works a treat. The blending part is invaluable with a young baby and is now being used for No 3. **The Blender** I bought the Braun MR4000 from Argos for £19.45. It's lightweight and made of plastic. The bottom half which houses the blade is detachable and it has two speeds.
