Blend, Blend Away This Hinari's here to Stay
Review of Hinari SB308 by
mickeydumville
Advantages: Cheap Blending
Disadvantages: None
There's nothing worse when your cooking than to have a piece of electrical equipment die on you. That's exactly what happened to me as I was blending some tomatoes for a spaghetti Bolognese. I foolishly decided I could live without a blender, and it's when you don't have the equipment you suddenly realise how much you used it. My old blender was a Braun and had been around for the best part of ten years, when it finally went to the great electrical ... ...purely by chance, I was looking at electrical stuff in Tesco's when I noticed the price tag of the blender. You know me, never one to miss out on a potential bargain, into the trolley it went!
Packaging
.................
Is very simple. The blender is in a box with colour pictures depicting what's inside. Along with the make and model there's not much else.
Inside the box, the blender is inside it's own mixing jug which is inside a polythene ...

SURREY SMOOTHIE MASSACRE
Review of Hinari BL836 by
blurbubble
Advantages: Good price, looks nice, does the job
Disadvantages: Might frighten the neighbours!
...mine kindly bought me the Hinari Lifesyle BL836 blender as a little present to help me out. This was to replace the blender I had recently bought cheaply which spectacularly exploded (literally|) on its second use – but that’s another story. Needless to say I was very please and grateful and immediately put it to its first test use to make us both some banana smoothies.
So, let me tell you about my new toy first! This Hinari Blender was bought from ... ...outlets such as Argos, Robert Dyas, Woolworths etc. It was the very reasonable price of £14.89 (even though it wasn’t me who had to pay for it!) which appears to be its usual price and not an offer or sale price so you may be lucky to find it even cheaper somewhere. It looks pretty much like any other blender – a white base houses the motor and has the one control button offering three speeds and a pulse option. I wonder about this pulse option – ...

Hinari Blender BL939
Review of Hinari BL939 by
kelton_uk
Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful
Disadvantages: A Little Basic
...and the only foods that I found blended easily are melon and banana. I have successfully blended foods as "hard" as apples, carrots and potatoes with no problems. The only disappointment is the premature death of the item and the lack of support from Hinari and their website. ...

Breville VBL011 Anthony Worral Thompson Blender
Review of Breville VBL011/BL19/BL34 by
sparkleclairyfairy
Advantages: Excellent powerful blender
Disadvantages: Very unreliable
We purchased this blender to make smoothies and vegetable soups. We are on our third blender in 3 months due to various faults.
Blender 1. Shorted the house electrics and made a horrible smell
Blender 2. The washer which prevents leaks broke
Blender 3. The washer which prevents leaks broke and the blades stopped spinning.
When the blender works it is very good. The blender is very powerful and blends fruit and ice into great smoothies. When it ... ...the case that it has only been designed for occasional use.
The manual advises that the blades can be easily removed for cleaning. We found the blades stuck fast and it impossible to remove the blades on all 3 blenders we owned.
The preset controls make it really easy to use. Its a real shame we can't seem to get a working one. But there appears to be some design and reliability flaws in the product. ...

blend it
Review of Kenwood BL440 by

Advantages: great blender
Disadvantages: none
My daughters both love milk shakes and fruit drinks but trying to get them to eat a piece of fruit is near impossible so when i spotted this blender for just £15.23p at asda i thought i would give it a go as if it wasnt any good i hadnt wasted a fortune on it.
I was very surprised with how easy this blender is to use, the base attaches to the jug very easily and the power wont start if the jug isnt attached properly so no risk of the jug flying ... ...the front and a pulse mode to make things even smoother. The jug is 1.5 litres which is an ideal size for what we need and is made of plastic, the blades are stainless steel so are brilliant for blending fruit and according to the box they are supposed to be tough enough to mix ice but i havent had any need to try this. The jug unattaches from the base easily enough and the blades unscrew for ease of cleaning but you do need to make sure they are ...
