Advantages: It smells so nice and it really does work wonders on dry and aching feet. Disadvantages: It's made by Bliss, which is a very expensive range.

However I was recently in Prague and after hours of walking around cobbled streets my aching, tired and dry feet were in need of a nice lotion. I went into a Sephora ... ...suddenly noticed the Bliss range which I hadn't noticed in a shop before, then I was really pleased to notice this foot balm on sale. This sock salve costs around £18 (looking at HQhair.com) however it was on sale for approximately £8. Still pricey but I was keen to try this range and I didn't want to keep hunting for another foot lotion whilst on holiday!

Still pricey but I was keen to try this range and I didn't want to keep hunting for another foot lotion whilst on holiday!
The sock salve comes packaged in a plain blue box, and honestly looks like it should belong in a pharmacy. You wouldn't believe this was a product from 'New Yorks Hottest Spa' especially compared to the wonderful designs on the Soap & Glory packaging! Inside the box is a tube of the same colour scheme and you get 125ml of the foot balm.
The balm is brilliant white in colour and is a nice thick texture. You can smell this stuff straight away and in my opinion, it smells great! It states Rosemary + Lemon at the top of this packaging, with 'eucalyptus oil' tucked away as a side thought further down, which is strange because I can really smell the eucalyptus oil! You can vaguely smell the lemon to it, but personally I LOVE the smell of eucalyptus oil, I often have a tub of olbas oil to help me breathe when my allergies bung me up and I can't stop sniffing it! I do really like the smell of this product and it does remind me of the great smells you get in the Soap & Glory range.
Applying this balm to my feet, I found I didn't need to use too much at all. I used a small amount for each foot, and the texture was thick and creamy, but it was easily absorbed and it feels lovely and cooling on my feet. My feet were sore and aching from walking around so giving them a good massage with stuff truly was... well, Bliss! Afterwards my dry heels were softened and my feet felt so much softer to the touch. I popped my socks on afterwards and I was ready to do some more walking.
Back home I now love to apply this balm to my feet every other day or so. The tube advises to use once weekly, and to combine it with their minty scubs, apparently using these together will 'give new meaning to the old saying 'walk softly and carry a big tube of softening sock salve.' If you can make sense of that sentence then please tell me! However I don't use a minty scrub on my feet and I find my feet to be wonderfully soft using this balm.
So, would I pay £18 for it? Well I would be tempted, but I'm afraid I wouldn't as that is rather expensive and this is where this product loses a star. However I'm pleased with the price I paid for it and if I do ever see it anywhere on sale again I would probably buy it again. It smells great and it really works wonders on those dry feet, and I'm glad to have finally own a Bliss product.

The Bliss Softening Sock Salve is a fabulous product - used in conjunction with the Bliss Softening Socks it is a brilliant way to keep your feet in tip top condition particularly during the summer months when they are on show so much.
The best way to use it is to slather your feet with it before going to bed, paying particular attention to those problem areas, then put on your bliss softening socks. by the morning your feet are smooth and soft ... ...a week at the most.
Only issue is that the salve is best used in conjunction with the Bliss softening socks, which can work out quite expensive. I think it would probably work quite well with an old pair of socks at bedtime as well - worth a try. ...
