Okay, my skin is really weird. Sometimes it's very dry, or just dry or oily or really sensitive, it's a mix of different things but my lips always tend to be dry or chapped at times. And I hate the look of crusty lips that look as if their about to rip open. So needless to say I absolutely ADORE soft, supple looking lips.
Originally I was not meant to pick this us, I was meant to buy the 'Blistex Intensive Moisturiser Hydrating Lip Cream' but instead I ended picking up 2 of these which I am very grateful for! I gave one to my auntie and left one for myself to try out. I didn't really like it at first but once I found the best way to apply it and all that I started to really like it. So much so, that I finished it and had to go buy myself another!

Product/Application: I absolutely love this product. It works like a charm. The formula is of a white, quite a thick, creamy consistency and it smells to me a bit like Vicks- that might put you off but I love the smell of Vicks. When you apply the product on your lips you have to rub it in quite thoroughly; 1) For the lips to absorb the product and 2) So that your not left with white lips, unless you like that look of course. This product is also used for cold sores. It actually works. At first I was like 'phft seriously? My cold sores like my lips their never gonna go away with that!' But during the Winter as I had a cold I also got cold sores (duh!) I had 2 together on my lips and they were really hurting. I applied the cream to my cold sores quite liberally every 4 hours and the next day they had completely dried out, of course they were still red but the water that's usually in cold sores wasn't there. Hooray!

Packaging: Okay, so the formula, the product itself is brilliant. However, the packaging is horrendous! It's in a slim, small tube- you could say but it's made out of metal like if you squeeze it, it will not bounce back up it will stay down. Also, I personally think that they have packed too much product into the tube because if you press it slightly, remove the product from the front it still literally oozes out product and it is such a waste! So I always have to end up applying too much. I guess the only solution is that squeeze quite a bit of it in a container, use that up and then use the rest up from the tube, becuase there will be less product inside so excess product will not come out. Another thing is the nozzel, or whatever it is at the front, is not an applicator, but again it is made out of metal and it's a slim tube (smaller one OBV) and so once you squeeze the product out you just have to either remove it from your finger then apply it to your lips or apply it directly to your lips and then spread it out with your finger. Don't use a lip brush if your really fussy with the whole finger business because you have to massage it into your lips properly so that they will absorb the product and the cream will work effectively. (Longest paragraph on packgaing yet I think :/ ) Also, becuase the packaging is slim and whatnot its really good for popping it into your bag or coat pocket for those winter days or even in summer!

Prices. I believe I purchased this for around £2.50 at Boots but it could go up to £3 in some places. And you get 5g which I think is quite a respectable amount.

Where to Find. You can find this in many places: Tesco, Boots, Chemists, Superdrug and other large supermarkets.

Overall. The packaging may not be the best but the product itself is.

Give it a gooo! x

Treat your lips to this lovely creamy formula for a little bit TLC. They'll thank you for it, even if you waste a bit of product along the way due to the terrible packaging!
