Advantages: lots of features Disadvantages: repairs difficult
...After having 2 Hoptpoint machines last less than 2 years each, I decided it was time for a change, so I went to my local Comet to compare prices and features and decided on a Blomberg 1501, which. although not the cheapest in the shop, looked good value for money. Over the past 2 years, the printed circuit board has blown up in different places, the first requiring repair, the second requiring a new printed circuit board.
The problem with breakdowns is that very few people are able to repair Blombergs in this area, most repairers I spoke to won't touch them, although I don't know why this is (unless it is because they are regrded as an obscure manufacturer). When I found a repairer, the cost was typically about £140, and it only takes three such repairs to cover the cost of a new machine. Another annoyance was the water in the sump...

Advantages: lots of fidge and freezer space Disadvantages: having to drill holes when changing doors around
...On purchasing a Blomberg frost free fridge/freezer with the position of the fidge/freezer we had to change the doors around. After following the instructions very carefully it does not tell you to heat the seal so it can realign itself, otherwise your freezer compartment breaks down. Luckily it is under warrenty but it takes another week without a fridge/freezer. Other than that it is a great fridge/freezer with extras inside. The fridge has a bottle holder for two bottles and a tray which both are connected to the under side of one of the shelves, the freezer has an top shelf which has two ice trays which you can take out without moving the shelf, also there is room for extra ice trays or ice pops for the little ones....

Advantages: Can stop and start throughout the programme Disadvantages: None
...My Blomberg washing machine gave up the ghost and I was faced with trying to find a replacement (the Blomberg was a brilliant machine but no longer manufactured).
I went on line and was faced with hundreds if not thousands of washing machines over a huge price range.
I was looking for:
High efficiency rating
Low water consumption
Value for Money
30 degree wash
half load and quick wash functions
I came across Beko and started doing some investigation into the company and spoke to friend who is a washing machine repair specialist and he started raving over them.
The price was brilliant from Comet and it is brilliant.
I can stop a load halfway through to either change the programme or add an item. It is easy to use and VERY QUIET.
It is also the first w/m I ihave had that the clothes come out almost dry on only an 800rpm spin...
