What can you buy in Blooming Marvellous?
Maternity Clothes: I discovered this too late, my son was already born so I can't really comment on the quality and fit of the clothes but they do seem to carry a large range. I will try them next time if there ever is a next time.
Baby Clothes: They stock some baby and toddler clothes but not a great deal. I have bought items from there. I bought PJ's for my son which were expense, but very good wearing no bobbles after lots of washing. The items of clothing I did find they were good at and had a wide selection of, was swim wear. I bought my son trunks and swim suits with fitted flotation devices that you can adjust as needed. They also do neoprene trunks and all in ones.
Toys: They have a selection of baby toys good quality but expense no where as extensive as the likes of Mothercare and Toys r us. They do have good sandpits and out door toys but they are a little expensive but good quality.
Furniture: The stock nursery furniture and bedding and also furniture for young children such as starter and bunk beds. They also stock lots of storage furniture for kids.
Gadgets and Equipment; This is where Blooming Marvellous really excel. They have all sorts of good equipment some of which I have seen in other places and some I haven't seen anywhere else. So what type of things do they have apart from the flasks I mentioned earlier;
Stair gates: These are not unique you can buy them anywhere I hear you saying, yes you can. But all the gates you can buy only ever go to a standard door width and a little wider. I wanted a gate that would fit across the bottom of my stairs to stop my very active son climbing them. As my stairs were very wide at the bottom as they bent round I could not find a gate to fit except at Blooming Marvellous, where they did an expanadable gate that was made of material and you pulled out a little like a roller blind on it's side. It was excellent and stopped him climbing the stairs. Weaning tubs.: Like a large ice tray of individual tubs perfect size for puried food for a baby, so you can make fresh puree and freezing. Buggy weights: Weights that go round the front wheels of your buggy so when you take your child out the buggy doesn't tip up if you have bags on the handle bars.
I could keep going on the gadgets but hopefully you are all getting the kind of things they sell. Check out there website to see more.
How Can You Buy:
Shops: They have some shops these are never large and don't stock all there range. They shops they have are in the following areas: Bath, Bluewater, Chester, Fulham, Guildford, Leamington Spa, Manchester, Marlow, Norwich Richmond, St Albans, Wandsworth and Winchester
Internet: They have a very good an easy to use website which I have done most of my buying through. The delivery is quite quick. The address is http://www.bloomingmarvellous.co.uk/
You can but all there products on line.
Mail Order: They also send out catalogues that you can order from by telephone. I have never done this as I find it just easier to use the internet.
They as have a sister website called Mini Marvels which you can access through there main site. Mini marvels is aimed at 2- 8 year old children and has clothes furniture equipment suitable for this age group.
I think Blooming Marvellous is great I have bought many items from there which aren't essential but have made my life easier and more relaxing allowing me to enjoy the time with my son. Highly recommended.
Advantages: Good selection, decent value, stock available Disadvantages: Fashions could be more up-to-date
...stop was the mail-order catalogues: Blooming Marvellous and JoJo Maman Bebe. In this op, I’m going to tell you about my experience of Blooming Marvellous.
** CHOOSING WHAT YOU WANT **
Blooming Marvellous has a 100-page catalogue, full of maternity fashion, baby clothes, furniture and toys for the nursery, and maternity ‘essentials’ such as a ‘Listen to your Unborn Baby … And Play her Mozart!’ CD. I looked at maternity clothes – they have everything ... ...but the bra is so blooming comfortable!
A word of warning though for mothers-to-be on a shoestring - it can be quite depressing to read. A quick flick through it fills me with despair and envy at the thought of those mothers with nurseries packed full of goodies, while our new baby will have to share a tiny one-bedroom flat with mummy and daddy! ** ORDERING ** There are three ways that you can order from Blooming Marvellous:
(1) MAIL ORDER I ordered ...

...in all their branches.
Blooming Marvellous is a bit of a godsend. Unfortunately there are only ten branches throughout the country. They have an internet site www.bloomingmarvellous.co.uk, where you can order items and see a range of their clothes. Half the stock is maternity wear, whilst the other half is baby wear. So it’s very tempting to pick up some baby clothes whilst I’m looking for things for myself.
The stores I’ve been in are a bit on ... ...cups saying I love my uncle. There is a mini marvellous range for the 1-5s which only seems to be available via catalogue and doesn’t seem to be available in the shops.
So hurrah for blooming marvellous for me, but the baby clothes will be coming from somewhere else! ...

Advantages: Product range includes some useful and some nice items for preparing for baby. Disadvantages: Poor customer services who consistently make mistakes. In my view unreliable.
...the delivery address used by Blooming Marvellous somehow got modified afterwards - for some time the parcel was sitting at the courrier distribution centre because Blooming Marvellous had used an address that did not exist. I only found out when I tried to trace what had happened to my parcel and it was being held at the warehouse. I could not correct the delivery address myself - Blooming Marvellous had to do it so it took several more days to arrive. ... ...some items, used an expensive guaranteed delivery service to do so. Several weeks later I have not been refunded. Fourth order: I called before ordering to double-check that the item I wanted could be delivery overseas - according to the website it could. The agent checked and double-checked and said that the item could be delivered and that it was flat-packed. I placed my order - several days later I get an email saying the order has been cancelled ...

...people recommended that I tried Blooming Marvellous. I’d never heard of them before but then again, why should I have? LOCATIONS:
This review is based on my own experiences visiting the Chester store although there are other branches in:
* Bath * Bluewater * Cobham * Fulham * Manchester * Marlow * Richmond * St Albans * Winchester CHESTER STORE LAYOUT:
Unfortunately, if you’ve ever visited Chester, you will know that some of the shops, being in ... ...can. Because of this, Blooming Marvellous is on two heights with a few steps down half way in the store. It is really inconvenient if you have a pram but if you haven’t got anyone with you to help and do ask, they are more than willing to assist you down the steps. The upper area of the shop is split into to down the middle with a partition between. Items are grouped into: maternity wear; childrens/babies clothes; toys and accessories; changing bags; ...

Advantages: Easy to shop from home Disadvantages: Difficult to contact them, lack of stock
Having reached the halfway stage in my pregnancy, I suddenly sprouted a 'football' shape which my normal clothes refused to accommodate. Having searched the high streets for maternity clothes, and coming up with next to nothing, I sent for the Bloomin' Marvellous catalogue.
At first glance they did have quite a lot of nice things in there, so I duly listed what I wanted and then tried to phone my order through. This was where the problems started. ... ...with a recorded message telling me that "your call is important to us", I got fed up and decided to try the website instead. Great idea, but sadly when I started looking up the items I wanted I found that all of them with the exception of one pair of trousers were out of stock in either the sizes or colours that I wanted.
I don't know whether this was because I chose the wrong time of year to order, but you would have thought that if this was the ...

Advantages: few Disadvantages: overpriced,poor quailty
When I was pregnant with my son 5 years ago I purchased all my maternity clothes from mothercare, mainly because it was easy to buy from one place.
When my son was born prematurely mothercare tiny baby clothes fitted him well. However the quality of the clothes was poor.Children outgrow their clothes quickly,so perhaps mothercare feel they don't need to last! Mothercare nursing bras give very poor support and are difficult to open for feeding-compare a mothercare bra with one made by emma Jane and you will see what I mean!
When I was pregnant with my second son 2 years ago I decided to buy new maternity clothes from other retailers including bloomingmarvellous and jo jo ,although the quality was not great and the clothes were still expensive they were a lot more stylish and fun!
Another major gripe are the poor feeding ...
Advantages: colourful and stylish clothes different to Uk High street, free returns, free phone order number, account function available, can shop online too, NEW nursery furniture and accesories section added Disadvantages: sometimes items can be out of stock with delayed delivery time, sizing a bit on smaller side
the estimates are inaccurate. You always have a choice to cancel the order if the order is taking too long or even return the whole order if it has taken too long.
Fortunately, unlike some children’s catalogues (e.g. BloomingMarvellous) returns and exchanges are free. If you live in an area where there’s a local courier they will pick the parcel up for you or you can return it any post office free of charge using the pre-paid address label supplied with the parcel. I usually drop my returns off at the Post Office as it’s near to me and have had no problems with items being refunded back onto my account.
So far it sounds good, fresh colours and designs, free returns, free phone order line, potential for big discounts through using Sales codes…so what’s the downside well the main one I have mentioned already is ...
