The League Of Extraordinary Blu-Ray
Advantages: Fantastic picture, sound and at a pretty good price. Disadvantages: Price can vary. You'll never want to leave your sofa and so any work!
...staunch support by Sony and Panasonic amongst others, and boasted about the later updates to its technology available via internet linking, which it claimed would help it stay ahead of the pack in the future. Blu-Ray whilst initially lagging behind, soon caught up due to it's profile 2.0 updates giving it previously missing features such as the picture in picture and more interactive extra features available vi BD-Live (requiring internet link as ... ...time. The Panasonic DMP-BD 80 EG is a little piece of magic
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Panasonic are thought of by many as the kings of Blu-Ray manufacturers. They produce high-quality, admittedly not always cheap Blu-Ray players with an emphasis on great picture and sound quality. The 80 EG keeps with this tradition admirably. It's been out now for some months but is still one of the newer players ...

Panasonic DMP-BD 60 Blu Ray player - a real quality product
Advantages: nice clear playback and sound, slim and compact unit Disadvantages: No HDMI cable in box, disc loading take a few seconds
Bought this Blu Ray player to hook up to a 2nd TV, as we already have a PS3, but wanted to replace a really old DVD player. Unit is a similar size to a normal DVD Player but is slimmer and should fit in most cabinets nice and snug. It's a breeze to set up, although you don't get a HDMI cable in the box, so make sure you have one before you set up. In my opinion you don't need to spend a lot of money on a cable, ours cost us £10.99. The first Blu ... ...say the picture is really impressive and the sound is nice and loud, even coming through the TV speakers. Upscaling of DVD's is lovely and clear. Remote control is nice and easy to use. There are lots of features on this unit, it plays regular CD's, as well as MP3 files from a CD, DVD or USB device. Found it a bit strange that the open close button is on the very right of the unit though. I would definitely recommend this player for really clear ...

A good Blu Ray player at a reasonable price
Advantages: Vibrant picture, reasonable price. Disadvantages: Some 'jerkiness'. Limited SD Card and Divx capability. Some expected formats not accepted.
...only video with the specific Panasonic AVCHD structure. And finally although the player is DIVx compatible it will only play these from DVD-R (not R/W) and CD-R (not R/W). It cannot play DIVx Ultra nor Divx in HD. Do note the limitations on audio output (the BD55 has more options). If you wish to check out the specification go to the Panasonic site and download the manual. As blu ray had won the HD war I wanted to build a blu ray library rather than ... ...close) a CD. Why did Panasonic not use the SD card slot? Overall I am happy with the purchase though concerned by the non smooth panning (will be interested to see if this disappears with a 1080p screen if and when I upgrade) but I am frustrated by the oddities in the formats accepted and the very limited SD card capability. Great on blu ray – Planet Earth series. ...

Blu-Ray Player - The Future
Advantages: High Quality, Great Design Disadvantages: Expensive
The DMP-BD30 is half the price of its predecessor (the original Blu-ray player - BDP-10A was £700). This makes the upscaling to Blu-ray far more appealing and many people will buy this product and invest in Blu-rays. Nevertheless, the question still remains, why don't people buy PS3s which can play Blu-rays as well as HD games and a lot more? Well, the PS3 cannot upscale non-Blu-ray DVDs as well as the DMP-BD30 and the audio functionality is very ... ...capable of playing Blu-ray.
Appearance
The DMP-BD30 is very sleek, smooth and stylish piece of equipment. The black colour works well with most living rooms. The remote control also looks stunning with many
buttons - most of which you will probably never use.
Price
As I have already mentioned, this Blu-ray player is half the price of the original Blu-ray player although it is still a bit pricey at £300. I would recommend waiting ...

And in the Blu-Ray corner is .....
Advantages: Very nice design, excellent picture and audio quality Disadvantages: Slow loading times in places, and the risk of Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD
...not. Confused yet??
This Panasonic DMP-BD 10 has a very classy appearance, with the front being quite free of clutter, buttons and other things that can sometimes clutter up a standard player. This helps you to believe that you've purchased a worthy addition to your living room. It also looks quite solid and meaty which again would make a buyer feel that they've had something worthy of their money I would imagine.
The LCD display is glorious. Large, ... ...us turn green with envy!), is that you could have the console plugged in to one area and the Panasonic DMP-BD 10 somewhere else. And at least if for some unlikely reason a fault developed on one, you'd be left with a Blu-Ray player still to use.
Enjoy !! ...
