"Responsiveness Isn't Fantastic!"

Why Did We Buy This Station?

We purchased this station about three months after buying the Wii console after realising that we did go through quite alot of batteries in the remotes which started costing us alot of money. I then saw this station on Amazon for around £13 which was quite little compared to the amount we were spending on batteries. It looked really easy to use which is just what i wanted. I purchased this station right the way. I have since found the station to be okay but there could be one improvement.

Look and Feel

The station has been built around the white Wii design and looks very similar to it. The station is about 5 inches across, and 3 inches wide, as a rectangular block. It stands well next to our Wii, and looks pretty smart as it is exactly like the Wii console design. The station has the same white colour block glossy feel, as the Wii console itself. The rectangualr block has two wholes in the middle which make way for the Wii remotes to charge. As for the battery packs which need to be plugged in, they also look really like the battery covers which are already on the remote. They clip onto the back of the Wii remote efficiently, and don't make the Wii remote any thicker than it previously was. Overall i think that the look and feel of the Wii remote station is excellent, and that is what i rated it.

Durability Of The Station

The station is pretty durable overall which is really good especially when you have kids around. The station has never came across any situation were it could really have been damaged other than falling off the top of the wii sometimes. However the station has been placed on top of the wii for about 1 year now, and it is yet to have damage. It regularly falls off when we remove the remotes, but it hasn't damaged at all which is great for what we paid. The station just sitting there can also collect a tiny bit of dust but that hasn't became a problem either. Overall i think that the durability of the product is great, and therefore i have rated it excellent.

I have rated this product overall as satisfactory and this is due to the responsiveness of the product letting it down. I have found when placing the wii remote in the chargining station, it sometimes doesn't register that the remotes are in there, and we have to hold them down, and replace them alot before they begin to charge. Other times the station does recognise the remote straight the way, although that is rare with this station. Overall i think the responsiveness of the station could definitely can be improved because it doesn't always pick up the remotes, and you have to spend time waiting for response. I have therefore rated it poor.

There was instructions which came with the station, however i never used them because i found the set up really easy. I have since looked at the instructions and they are really good. They come in different languages incase you need to read them in another language, and are really simple to follow. There are some pictures in with the instructions to make them easier to follow. Despite me not needed the instructions they are really good, and are easy to follow. If you need extra help, there are contact details for the manufacturer on the back of them. Overall i think the instructions are really good and therefore have rated them as very useful.

How Does It Work?

The station is basically a replacement for the batteries in your wii remote. You remove the batteries out of your wii remote, and replace them with the battery packs which come with this set. You then take the regtangular station and plug it into your Wii via the USB connection. Once in you place your Wii remotes in the station and they charge. Charging usually takes over an hour for full power, and they last as long as usualy batteries which is really good the only difference is the price.

Overall i wouldn't buy this product again if i had a choice, but may buy another similar one. The only thing which lets it down is the responsiveness which may just be my product? The station is durable and looks good with the Wii. This is a great idea to save money rather than buying lots of batteries if you buy alot.

Thanks for reading and rating, really appreciated! :)

It's so annoying when you dock them, then when you go to play again it's still low on battery!
