Modern Architecture in Le Corbusier's hands
Review of Towards a New Architecture - Le Corbusier by jazzwillie

Advantages: Detailed and sufficient context
Disadvantages: To lengthy, draggy and hard to understand

...Le Corbusier's works of art are explained here. Powerful elements of modern architecture and the story behind the birth of his 5 elements, directly and indirectly. Modern architecture as we know it is much different in the 20th century. Leading architects such as Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, Vans Scharaun and Hugo Haring all played a major role in this era. Le Corbusier's work was a display of radical and efficient use of reinforce concrete, and was one of the most successful in displaying the qualities of this modern material. Like Russian Dolls, there's more inside
Review of The Russia House - John Le Carre by CheekyChapster

Advantages: Great Author and story
Disadvantages: Takes longer than normal to become hooked

Like meeting a life-long friend for the first time, you come to know his characters, and if patient enough, actually care about them. Basically Le Carre reading is about patience.. the story and characters will appear... Just pretend you're a spy..! Anyway... on to my opinion of "The Russia House". The book is an in depth tale of how a lazy publisher (Blair) with a penchant for self-destruction and jazz finds himself deeply involved... Read review
