Excellent for soothing my Rosacea
Advantages: Excellent soothing properties, Easy to carry around Disadvantages: Sticky so can't be worn under makeup
I've been using this for about 3 months now ever since I developed Rosacea on my cheeks and eyes.
I had my first good nights sleep the day I bought it as it took away the itching and burning. I wouldn't say it has helped to heal but it is definately the best soothing product I've tried (and thats a lot over the months!). Also, when used overnight it can reduce the redness by morning.
Its very sticky and so it can only be worn on its own. When I ...

L'Occitane shea butter (verbena) 60ml/2oz
Advantages: it really works, lovely subtle scent Disadvantages: expensive
...have been aware of the L'occitane products for several years and heard how great they are but have never bought their stuff due to the cost. A couple of weeks ago, I happened onto on of their shops and the strong scent alone would usually have had me running the other way, but my feet were tired and hurting so decided to pop in for a breather (no pun intended). Well, whatdoyaknow, a sale! Immediately, their most noteable product, the shea butter ... ...in that direction. I picked up a discreetly packaged aluminium 60ml tin of 100% shea butter scented with verbena. Discounted to £7.50, why not? The same sized classic shea butter was full priced at £22.
Now a bit of background. Skin type- dry. Hair type - dry. Hands - very dry - OH says they sometimes feel like man's. Feet - forever cracked to the point of bleeding (no matter what I tried, only thing that ever works is natural exfoliation by beach ...

Butter for your body made from beans!
Advantages: helps skin Disadvantages: lid is annoying!
...trade products this means that Boots then pays them for their products as well as extra money for them to invest in the communities this then helps the farmers who have poor backgrounds to be able to improve their lives. The quality of the products are higher than those in the other, non fair trade products. I quite like the thought of using this body butter which I think is quite a treat to myself knowing that the money I have spent on it is helping ... ...little easier. It's nice to know that the products are all sourced from natural ingredients that are grown to a certain standard to be able to be used. My opinion
Using this cocoa butter might not have prevented me getting stretch marks during pregnancy- as it turned out I didn't get any- I don't know whether it was due to this butter or just good genetics but I definitely found this product to be a great buy. I found that it made my skin ...

This must be what heaven smells like!
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, my skin feels lovely Disadvantages: Expensive if you don't wait for an offer
...my £5 free gift from The Body Shop as I have one of their reward cards. (I have done a review of this if you are interested) I was pleased to find that I could have whatever I wanted from the shop and they would just deduct the £5 from my bill so I set off to treat myself.
I have been looking at the Moringa range for some time now and using the testers whenever I go into the shop and I think the fragrance is gorgeous! So when I visited the store ... ...tried one or two of the body butters over the years and found them all to be really effective on my skin and very nice to use so I decided that was what my treat would be.
I bought the 50ml Moringa Body Butter which, from memory, I think cost me £4.40. The 200ml size currently costs £12.20. Having said that there are often offers in The Body Shop generally and also specifically on body butters so it is worth waiting for an offer and stocking up ...

Kissable Skin
Advantages: really moisturising, quickly absorbed, not greasy Disadvantages: could smell a little stronger
...a big fan of the Treacle Moon range and also a regular user of body butters, so was really keen to try the raspberry kiss body butter. I usually use body butters from the body shop, as these have been the best that I had found, these retail at around £10, so at £3.99 this seemed a bargain to me.
The body butter comes in a tub of 250ml. It has a clear bottom and a black screw lid. On top of the lid is a bright pink label, with bold black lettering. ... ...less.
The lid unscrews to reveal the product, a thick, white cream/butter. There is no additional peel back lid, which I do like to see as I'm not keen on the thought of other people having unscrewed the lid and sniffed/poked their fingers in before I've bought it. The tub is filled to the brim though, which is good value for money.
The smell is sweet and fruity, not overwhelmingly of raspberry though (if I didn't know the product name, I may have ...
