It'll Drive You Coco-Nutty!
Review of The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter by
mummy2harry
Advantages: Lovely scent, easy to use, absorbs quickly
Disadvantages: Bigger pots are quite expensive
...to mention I don't get the time to pamper myself very often! But when I received a free 50ml pot of The Body Shop's Coconut Body Butter with my copy of Marie Claire this month, I thought it'd be worth a try as it didn't cost me anything, and to be honest, it smelt gorgeous!
The Body Shop are famous for their body and beauty products because they do not test their products on animals. They do many products from make-up, to shower gels to these body ... ...beauty industry, most recently winning The Sunday Times Style 2008 award for Best Body Moisturiser for the second year running, a pretty good accolade for them! So I knew this was going to be a good moisturiser and set about using it.
Obviously in this weather, we're all wearing cropped trousers and shorts a lot, and my legs do dry out a bit from the sun, and the shaving creams and razors I use on my legs. I thought therefore that my legs would ...

Mango body butter smells great and IS great
Review of The Body Shop Range by
Lollipop90
Advantages: It lasted all day, I didn't need to moisturise again
Disadvantages: It's quite pricey!
...shower I decided to use the butter and see if it was any good; risking walking around for the whole day with dry skin! The butter seemed to go on very well and left my skin soft, supple and smelling great; I didn’t even have put perfume on! I must admit that the moisture does decrease throughout the day and so does the smell unfortunately, but my skin never got dry and I didn’t have to sneak into the toilet to have to cream my body anytime during ... ...product is that it’s on the pricey side. A 200ml tub is £12 and although that seems quite reasonable, I managed to get through one 50ml tub in less than a week so it may not last very long. But I feel that the value for money is pretty good as the product lasts all day and you don’t need to re-apply. I will definitely be buying and using this regularly. ...

Sweet as Strawberries!
Review of The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter by
ivytoad
Advantages: Moisturises, not tested on animals
Disadvantages: Smell is a bit too sweet for me, skin was just a little bit greasy
...before.
I really like the design of the tub. The tub is made from red plastic, with a matching red plastic screw-top lid. The 'Body Shop' logo is in the middle of the lid and 'Strawberry Body Butter' written along the edge of the lid and in the background there is a picture of lots of yummy strawberries!
The body cream itself is baby pink in colour and really smooth (kind of like butter!) It is quite thick, which I really like in a moisturiser.
... ...goes on really nicely. The body butter is quickly absorbed into the skin and it does leave it really soft and moisturised, but I also thought my skin felt a tiny bit greasy.
I found the body butter really gentle, it didn't dry out my skin at all or irritate it.
I quite like the smell, though it is very sweet. It smells like strawberry yoghurt or those foam shrimp sweets you get. It is a nice strawberry smell but it is almost slightly artificial. ...

Hemp body butter
Review of The Body Shop Hemp Body Butter by
paulathomson89
Advantages: Great all over moisturiser
Disadvantages: Smells a bit funny
Once again The Body Shop have not failed to disapoint with one of their many body butters. This can be used all over the body except for the face as it can be quite strong on that area. It is for very dry to extreamely dry skin, and contains hemp seed oil which helps to restore moisture, suppleness and softness. It also contains shea butter and cocoa butter which are excellent for smoothing skin and also helping any scars or stretch marks that you ... ...can also be used in the bath, just take a scoop and stick it under some running bath water to get a milky bath which moisturises too. I love this body butter as it so moisturising, i use it daily to help keep my very dry skin at bay, it doesn't smell too inviting and the colour probably won't be your favourite but you get used to it and once you see the benefits you really won't mind! i would reccomend this because it truely is an amazing body butter. ...

Butter me up with Body Shop
Review of The Body Shop Shea Body Butter by
brittle1906
Advantages: Does what it promises to do.
Disadvantages: Scent may not suit everyone
...I had read about the softening effect of shea butter and was pleased to see a range in Body Shop so decided to try it. Body Shop products are untested on animals and the Shea butter range is part of their 'Community Trade' scheme, An association of around 400 women from 10 villages, Body Shop ensure they are paid a fair price for their shea beans. Since trading with The Body Shop the women have been able to dramatically change their lives with water ... ...able to give their children the chance to go to school. Since 1995, The Body Shop has been buying cocoa beans from the Kuapa Kokoo company in Ghana, a fair trade co-operative with over 30,000 small-scale farmers. The money made by the co-operative enables the development of community projects such as schools and village wells in addition to providing the farmers with income to support their families.
This is a rich body moisturiser developed for ...
