Review of Necessary Evil - Shaun Hutson

shaun hutson

Advantages: not to long and drawn out
Disadvantages: none i loved it

one of his best, this book was fantastic..based on a small town and family... full of detail you will lose yourself in his words, well written and will leave you on the edge of your chair. a hard one to put down, if you like the style of shauns books, this one is a defo. most of his books do have a strong theme... but this on is a chilled out no need to think to much to enjoy it... great for the holidays. not to long, doesnt get boring half way through, every chapter is as good as the one before. very highly recomended, i have read 90 percent of shaun hutsons books and i have to say this one was one of my favorites. ...

Review of Erebus - Shaun Hutson

Another great book from Mr.Hutson!!!

Advantages: Great book, couldn't put it down.
Disadvantages: Sometimes a little harrowing.

I have had this book on my book shelf for about 5 years, and I finally got around to reading it recently. I wasn't to sure from the blurb if it was a book I wanted to read, as it contains "scenes" of child abuse and suicide. I was pleasantly surprised though that Shaun Hutson, the author of this brilliant book, didn't over elaborate the child abuse, with unnecessary descriptions. The same can be said of the suicides too. This book is, in brief, about the police trying to discover why 3 ordinary professional men, a surveyor, an accountant and an architect, all commit suicide. All 3 appear to be happy and successful, so why would they all want to kill themselves? That is the question Chief Inspector James Talbot ...
