The Body Shop Shimmer Waves

A couple of weeks ago I popped in to The Body Shop in Bath, as I needed a new hairbrush. The thing is whenever I go in I never come out just with what I intended to buy. I had been considering buying either the Shimmer Cube or the Shimmer Waves but had not decided so had a look and still couldn't make up my mind so I was going to leave it but I just couldn't! This isn't the type of product I'd typically have bought, but after attending a Body Shop party (where the products are demonstrated and used on the host), I decided to buy a pallet of Shimmer Waves because it seemed like a very versatile product that could be used on the eyes, face, lips and shoulders. So, It was time. After buying pointless shop own brands eye shadows and bronze powders I had to give in to trying a body shop bronzing product. I intitially really needed a nice eyeshadow, and saw this product in the body shop catalogue at a recent body shop at home party. I was impressed by the idea of the versatile nature of the product where you can use it all over as a glow and as individual eye shadow colours. Intro** I bought this bronzer from The Body Shop in Stafford a few months back. I really went in to get some lip balm, but came out with this because I thought it looked really nice and to be honest I was a little tempted by Staff. So, this product is shimmer waves and it is used to make your face look that little bit bronzed and refreshed. The shade of this is obviously bronze and it has 5 different tones which create a great effect on your face. I bought this product because i thought it looked similar to the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks - which are much more expensive than this body shop version. I also like shimmery make up. Well I bought it around 18 months ago, and have used it everyday since. The list of things that you can do with this combination is endless. Mostly I use it for eyeshadow - you can pick one colour, mix them up to create your own colour, or use the different colours for different areas such as the dark brown on the eyelid and the pink on the browbone etc etc. Sometimes I run a blusher brush over the whole surface ... more
