This is regarded as a better indicator of your current and ideal weights, as it takes your height into account too. There's even an approximately 30% corridor of acceptability, so the 'ah yes, but I'm BIG-BONED' mob get to play too. 'Ideal weight' BMIs are thought to be in the range of 20.7-26.4 for men and 19.1 to 25.8* for women.
