With gin, it seems that you get what you pay for. Bombay is ridiculously expensive in the UK, although you can sometimes get great deals at airports. But, what you get is the best gin bar none. Me, I like it with a slice of lime and some good quality tonic. Never use cheap "low calorie" tonic - it ruins the taste for no benefit except a few pence saved! Personally, I don't like ice because it numbs the palate and spoils that delicate taste. Oh, and how much gin to put in the glass? Well, do some experiments on that - but be generous and make it in big glasses. To me, Bombay Sapphire has the most delicate flavour with none of the harshness of cheaper brands. And, your friends will see that, when it comes to gin at least, you have real class!
