This is the first entry in a series I shall be doing covering my top five tracks by each of my individual favourite bands. Recently The Darkness have made rock cool again. Bands like the White Stripes, the Datsuns and a bunch of others have awakened people to the fact that rock music is great, that it takes actual talent rather than image and good production like pop music. The only problem is, that most modern rock bands can't hold a candle to the past masters. My only wish is that the kids give it a try. Bon Jovi have been my favourite band since I was a kid. Yes, I'm one of those people who you might refer to as a Bon Jovi Fanatic!! Some people call it disgusting, some an obsession. But whatever you may call it, I stand firm in my believe that Bon Jovi is the greatest band ever!! My pre Bon Jovi days had me saying the same thing about The Beatles. This album is awesome, Bon Jovi have really excelled themselves with this one, They have gone returned to there original recording and thinking on this album, there is abit of something for everyone, i would recommend the following songs off the album, Last man Standing, Novocaine and Who says you can't go home. I have this this album on my MP3 player permantly and it is played constantly, I Love it, They have a number of great albums but this one stands at the top of the list along with Slippery when wet and New Jersey.
