Advantages Thrilling, interesting and very real!!
Disadvantages I didn't want the book to end!!
I really enjoyed this book, I usually go for girly novels and decided to have a bit of a change. I found the language used in the book very descriptive which made the characters appear real. I liked the way the book focused on a few characters, this kept my interest although none of the characters were dull. I found myself feeling quite passionate about the main character in the book with the twists and turns she came across throughout the cases she dealt with.
The book focuses on Dr Scarpetta a Forensic patholgist and her colleagues as they deal with a sequence of gruesome deaths. As the story unfolds there are lots of names thrown into the equation which makes the plot thicken and leaves you questioning everyone.In my opinion the book was quite gruesome but this was done in an honest and tactful way. The book engaged my interest throughout and constantly kept me in suspense when I went to sleep at night. I couldn't put the book down and will definately be reading more of Patricia Cornwell's books.

You're making a good start so don't despair just take on board the advice given and I'm sure you will get the hang of things pretty quickly. At least you can spell which puts you ahead of a lot of new writers on here! LOL xx

Welcome to Ciao. Agree with the other comments, let me know if you update. I've read most of the series, but I lost faith after a few bad reads in a row. Her earlier work is best.
