I have used BOOKING.COM where we have made the booking and stayed at the Hotel and also where we have needed to cancel.

BOOKING.COM is another site that often appears to be the cheapest when we trawl HOTELSCOMPARISON.COM.

We booked for Vila Gale in Tavira Portugal for our January trip.

Booking process was very easy, we had two double Rooms with Buffet Breakfast and Pool View (Pool View was 1 Euro per night per room, Saga were Charging 2 Euros per person per night) (Total cost per room for the 3 nights was £87, thats B&B at less than £15 per person)

You get Email Confirmation and you print your Voucher Off to present to Hotel.

Booking.com is one of those Agencies that do not take any money off you at the booking, you pay the Hotel Direct.

You do register your Credit Card number with them, so in the event of no show they will then take the charge.

But cancellation policy is very straightforward, as long as you give 2 days notice then no charge is incurred. And it does work as we have cancelled a booking with them.

So if you are the sort who does not like paying in advance then this is one for you.

We have stayed on two trips with them and no problem, we have only had to pay the Hotel the figure on the booking.

As is common with most Hotel Booking Sites they supply you with a selection of Photos, usually Outside of Building, Rooms, Restaurants etc.

But I usually like to check Reviews of Hotels on the likes of CIAO, and I am looking for a Trend, i.e. Not just one or two Reviews good or bad.

Remember a Review from a Reliable Member of CIAO is worth more than a page full of Praise from The Hotel Site or a Booking Site.
