Boots Advantage Card

***WHAT IS AN ADVANTAGE CARD?***
An Advantage card can be used at any Boots store to collect points every time you make a purchase, even if you are buying just one item! Boots Advantage Card is the most generous loyalty card in the UK which gives you 4 points for every £1 that you spend in store or online. This card is accredit card size so can easily fit into a purse or wallet, but even if you do lose your card all you have to do is simply notify the team at boots which can be done online. When you have enough points on your card you can use these to purchase an item from the store. This isn?t a credit card and there?s no signing up fee, this card is absolutely free!!

***REGISTRATION***
To register for a Boots Adavantage card simply pick up a leaflet in store and fill in the details and then post to the address shown, of you can register on their website as well. It's totally free to register and if you ever need to change or ammed your details you can simply do this online or ring the number shown.

***COLLECTING POINTS***
Every time you shop in store, simply hand over your card and your points will be credited to your card. If you don?t happen to have your card on you, the assistant at the till can validate your receipt which means when you have your card with you next, you simply take the receipt and card to the till and they will then add the points onto your card. The validation receipts last for about 30 days so you have quite a while before the points on your receipt expire! Your new points balance will be displayed on the bottom of your receipt after your transaction.
Even if you shop online you can collect points as well. When you register to shop online, just simply enter your Advantage card details and every time you spend online points will be added onto your card.

***SPENDING POINTS***
1 point equals 1 penny, so if you have collected 2500 points this gives you £25 to spend in store. Just simply take your items to the value of your points to the till and advise the assistant you would like to pay using your points and the points will then be deducted from your card and your new balance will again, show at the bottom of your receipt. You can?t use your points to part-pay for an item; you have to have enough points to pay for the total value of the item. You can?t shop online using your points and you are not allowed to use your points in the pharmacy or Opticians.

I know a few people who use their card every time they shop in boots and they don?t use the points, until Christmas, which by that time they have quite a lot of money of it to do their Xmas shopping with. This is great idea and is a great way to save on spending as well!

The points on your advantage card never expire so you can save up as much as you want and you can use them when-ever you want!

***EXTRA OFFERS KIOSK***
These are large pink machines which are located round the store and will give you lots of offers and extra points. Just simply place your card into the reader and it will gather your information. You can then browse the latest offers and vouchers. When you see a vouchers/offer you simply press the print button to print off your voucher and remember to hand it over when you pay for your items. This is a great way to get lots more points as offers can include extra points when you spend over a certain amount on a special range. It?s always well worth checking these offers as I have missed out on lots of offers and extra points in the past!

***POINTS EVENTS***
Occasionally in store they will have triple point weekends. This means for every £1 you spend you will receive a huge 16 points! How-ever this normally only applies if you spend over £25 or £50! They tend to hold these events at Christmas a lot, especially on late night openings. It is a great way to get even more points and is well worth doing your monthly shop here when they have these events. They also have other events such as extra points when you recycle your old mobile phone, or extra points when you buy certain ranges and certain products.

***LOST/STOLEN CARDS***
If you happen to lose your card or your card gets stolen just simply ring their customer care centre, and they will be able to cancel your card and your points will be transferred to a new card. Your new card then normally takes about 2-3 weeks to arrive. Whilst you are waiting for your card simply ask the assistant at the till to validate your receipts so when you get your card you can add these points onto your new card.

***OVERALL OPINION***
I think this card is fantastic, not only is it free but they are also rewarding you for spending in their store. The Triple and double points events are brilliant to get lots of extra points and its get to use the points to treat yourself or just save up until Christmas or a birthday! I do a big shop in boots every month and can easily spend about £30. I then try to save the points as long as I can, so I can use them when I am waiting for that pay-day or waiting for a special occasion!
