The Box and Tube
The box is made of 100% recycled material and is cardboard. On the front is the brand and product name that it is 95% organic and a small amount of information about the product. On the back of the box is information about the product, recycle symbol and contact information. On the sides is the ingredients list, the fact that is authenticated by Kew Botanics Garden and the size of the tube.

The tube is made of a soft translucent plastic and the lid is made of a hard plastic and is a screw top. On the front is the brand and product name and what it is for. On the back is information on the product, directions, ingredients, recycle symbol, contact information and size of tube which is 10ml.

My Opinion
I am a lip balm freak and have numerous ones around the house and in handbags. So when I got my Boots Advantage Card Letter and it had a 100 extra points when I bought something from the Botanics range I decided to give there lip balm a try.

When I saw the box I thought it was very nicely packaged and looked spa like, very simple and a lovely design. When I opened the box to look at the balm I noticed it looked like butter that had melted then hardened again, so it was slightly yellow in colour. I unscrewed the lid to find a angled bit of plastic with a hole in it like some lip glosses. Now when using products with this top I tend to squeeze a bit out a use my finger as I don't like the application using the plastic. When I squeezed the balm out I noticed it had little lumps in it, not what I had expected at all and it had the smell of shea butter. I then smeared it on my lips and did not like the texture at all, the lumps took a good thirty seconds to rub in and just did not feel right to me. Once rubbed in my lips felt quiet greasy and very shiny. They did feel moisturised but then again anything would if it felt like you had grease on your lips. I gave it a good go for a couple of days and it did last for a couple of hours at a time but I just could not get used to the sensation of the lumps and the heavy feeling of the balm.

The lip balm is now sat in my bedside table and I only use it when I can't find anything and I am in desperate need of moisture to my lips. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product but some people might not mind the texture or heaviness to it. I found there are a lot better lip balms at lower price than this.

Ingredients
I don't usually list ingredients for products but as this as only four I thought I would.
Butyrospermum parkil butter*, Olea europaea oil*, Cera alba*, Lanolin

*Certified organic ingredient.

Price and Availability
It is only available in Boots stores and boots website. It is priced at £3.99, it is on offer though at the moment for £2.99.
