With the 3 packs for £3 offer on Boots essentials face wipes, I decided to get 2 packs of Fragrance Free & one pack of Cucumber. See my review on the FF wipes, which is good, but also read this review to find out why these are better! I was merely impressed by the Boots FF wipes, but only after trying these once today, I was more impressed!
Background:These wipes are in the fragrance of Cucumber. Most people relate to Cucumber as refreshing, tasty & cooling. This is what these wipes do, they clean & cool at the same time! As I mentioned, these wipes were £2.03 for 1 packet or 3 packs for £3 which is reasonably good value for money, compared to the Siimple version which are £3 for 1 packet. I have never used face wipes that are fragranced, usually they are fragrance free for me, but now I wonder what made me choose them over these!!
Claims/Blurb:These wipes tell us they are suitable for all skin types & have the enriching extracts of Cucumber & Aloe-Vera. They also contain Vitamin-E. They also claim to remove make-up & excess oils to leave skin soft, feeling clean (hopefully!) & smooth.
25 wipes are included in this pack, which represents good value for money. Especially as these come from Boots, I can get 8 or 12 points when buying these! I'm sure that you could use these for wiping your hands as the pack is the perfect size for taking on a plane.Smell & appearance :
Well obviously these will smell of Cucumber (hence it's name LOL!), but I did expect these to have a sickly smell of Cucumber, but they didn't. They smelt of Cucumber, but a really nice smell. They are quite powerful, but are so nice that they are good enough to eat! These wipes come in a pack of 25 in a light green colour. The writing on the front is in a dark green & it lookss quite nice. Obviously they are not going to stand out against other brands, but they look alright to keep on show in your bathroom.
Usage:I firstly tried these wipes when I used them this morning followed by Boots FF facial toner & Aqueous cream. I opened the pack & was immediately hit like a ton of bricks by a smell of fresh, invigorating cucumber. I then grabbed a wipe out of the pack & began to wipe over my face. My T-Zone is what I pay most attention to. I then started to vigorisly scrub my T-Zone with the wipe. I was then amazed that when I looked in the mirror in the bathroom my nose was NOT I repeat NOT shiny!
I put this down on the cucumber, cleansing my face & removing all of the bad oils off my face. I could'nt believe that these basic wipes had worked so well. I will be cucumber facial wipes from now on! They just worked so brilliantly that they were worth every penny I payed for them especially on the frequent 3 for £3 offer!Summary:
These wipes were just brilliant! Especially for me as I am a bit prone to spots which these also clean too! I do regularly use a face wash once a day & use these at night or in the morning. They also leave my face soft & smooth unlike Simple which used to leave my face dry & irritated! I might give the Tesco ones a go next!Summary: At least my nose isn't oily anymore!!
Thanks for reading!BF99 x
