I have been buying from the Natural Collection brand at Boots for a number of years now and over the time I have accumulated quite a few of their items. A few of these items happen to be their Nail Varnish, which at just £1.99 is an absoloute bargain and is considerably cheaper than may other brands.

They have a fair range of shades, so you are likely to find one that takes your fancy, though one thing I have noticed is that they all seem to be quite pale pastels, shimmery metallics or soft matte colours, so if you were after something really bold or bright then I don't think this range really covers that. One of the brightest colours that this brand does have to offer is 'Robin Red' which is fairly bright, but also slightly metallic/ shimmery in colour.

The packaging is fairly simple and is something that I neither find pleasing or unpleasing. The brush of the nail varnish seems to be fairly smaller than some other nail varnishes brands, in that is is ever so slightly shorter, but also a fair bit slimmer.

To apply I find the nail varnish to be quite thin and the colour of the nail varnish is not that pigment, meaning the first coat is only very thin, yet still takes a while to dry due to it being fairly watery. It actually took me 3-4 coats until the colour seemed more true to the colour in which was shown in the pot of the nail varnish.

Once applied the nail varnish seemed to take ages to dry, which I think may be due to its more liquidy form. Nonetheless, once it was dry the colour did seem true to the one I had expected it had been. It seemed to have a very shiny/ pearly glaze over the nail varnish, which I actually really liked as it meant there was no real need for a top coat.

The nail varnish lasts for around 2 or 3 days before it begins to chip/ look tired. For the price this did not really bother me as nail varnish rarely lasts that long on me anyway and for the price I was still pleasantly surprised with the nail varnish.

Overall this is a decent enough nail varnish that will not break the bank, as long as you have patience for the time it takes to dry!
