The other week when out on a date I got totally drunk! Hence to say the date didn't go at all well (the main reason I reckon I got drunk actually lol) but worse than that I lost my No7 brand new pressed powder! The following morning I woke up with the hangover from hell and missing my powder cursing saying I'd go out with someone in the first place! lol.
So what I did was buy my favourite Max Factor pressed powder to make up for the loss but at the same time knowing I'm prone to losing things when I'm out and about that I'd buy myself a cheaper one. So the idea was to use my favourite in the house to complete my look but if I took a cheapo one out with me and lost it...well no harm really done! So that's why I bought this one! It's usually a mere £1.99 a compact but it's currently on offer that if you buy any 3 items from the range they cost a fiver! Yep I was drawn into that deal and purchased 10 items of make up I really didn't need lol. Good old Boots know what they're doing and like my Step-dad says they see me coming! lol.
The Packaging:

On the lid I'm told it is Natural Collection and on the bottom of the base I'm told what it is, my chosen colour is stated (Warm in my case but it is also available in Neutral and Cool shades), ingredients are listed, size is stated (10g and the only size that it's available in), contact details for Boots are given, the recycle symbol is shown and finally there is a bar-code on there. No sponge applicator is given but overall it's an ok looking compact.
The Powder:
Well I prefer to use mine with a brush but of course you can use whatever method of application you prefer. The powder is set and there's alot in this compact and when you sweep a sponge or brush over the powder you don't have to scrub at it or anything and it comes off easily.
Applying it is a little more difficult though. Although I found it to clung to my brush I found it to really saturate my face in powder no matter how careful I am. I had to work hard to blend it in and when I had my face still managed to look a bit talcum powdery and no matter how much I tried to blend it in the finish was a little fake opposed to natural.
I did find it to cover greasy areas of my skin well (such as my t-zone) but those results were short lived and when I went over those areas to re matt them back down after wearing it a while the powder went clumpy looking on my skin. It didn't help to conceal my skin imperfections at all and I felt it actually highlighted my spots and open pores somewhat.
Verdict:
Economy this really is though I can give it one thumbs up and that is for the softness it gave to my skin...it really did leave my skin feeling silky smooth but a big thumbs down for being difficult to blend and not doing much when it got there! Not keen on this one at all!
Only available in Boots and in future this product can stay there lol.

Advantages: Cheap, three shades, fragrance free. Disadvantages: The need to reapply.
...shine!
I popped into boots and was pleased to see that Natural Collections pressed powder came in three shades and only cost £1.99 rather a lot less than the usual ranges I would buy from, where it would cost me about five pounds or a bit more. Bargain!
The powder comes in a simple flat round plastic pot with a screw on clear lid. The top of the lid has natural collection written on it and what looks like white petals above and below. The packaging ... ...Not much else can be said. It works but not as well as some. I think the price makes it well worth a try, if you try it and don't like it you haven't lost much!

Advantages: Not expensive Disadvantages: Wears off easily
Natural Collection - Pressed Powder **WHAT IT DOES**
This is a pressed powder, which you apply over foundation to give a matte finish, and reduces shine off your face. It helps even out your skin tone.
**PACKAGING**
This powder comes in a round plastic container. It has a screw lid, which is clear and see-through. You can see the light beige powder behind the plastic screw lid. The circular container, which the powder is set in, is pearly grey. ... ...details about the product, in brown writing. The lid is easily screwed off and on. The only problem, which I have with the lid, is if the container is dropped from any sort of height the lid will chip or crack. Also sometimes the powder will fall out of the container if it is dropped and smash everywhere breaking up into small pieces. It can leave a mess behind if dropped so do beware. On the front of the lid there is the Natural Collection logo ...

Advantages: Affordable Price Disadvantages: Frequent Applications throughout the day
After trying out some of the other 'Natural collection' range, I decided to try the pressed powder as it worked out a lot cheeper than the one I usually use, and since falling pregnant, my skin has chaged slightly so I felt it was time for a change. ******The Product******
I wanted the powder to cover my usual liquid foundation to reduce the shine that has seemed to get worse recently, and this product boasted that it covers the shine and does not ... ...get with my other foundation. The foundation is presented in a smaller than average size pot with a clear plastic screw off lid which fastens on securely even after usage. The lid has the natural collection logo upon it for a nice finish. The packaging is not as well presented as others, but it is what is inside that counts. There is no applicating sponge or pad included which is slightly annoying, though foundation pads can be picked up inexpensively ...

Advantages: Good value for money; does the job; behaves like any other face powder Disadvantages: It used to be cheaper!
...brands, having tried Rimmel and Boots 17. I decided to try Natural Collection Pressed Powder because it appeared to be the cheapest powder available in Boots, at £1.95, and I trust Boots' own products. There are three shades to choose from: warm, neutral and cool. I am not sure if I have a warm or cool colouring, so I chose neutral. I am quite pale and usually choose translucent or neutral shades from other brands. The packaging is very simple; the ... ...a translucent lid displaying the current Natural Collection logo. There is no mirror or powder puff supplied, but this doesn't present a problem; obtaining a free mirror every time you buy a pot of powder leads to needless accumulated expense, and more to the point, waste, which is thrown away in the end. It is just as convenient to carry a compact mirror in your handbag. The powder puffs supplied with similar products are not usually especially ...

...i had a look in boots (The Natural Collection is exclusive to Boots).
Price
At only £1.99 i was quite sceptical at first as i thought that maybe, since it was so cheap it would show in the quality of the product. However i saw it as a bargain compared to the prices of other pressed powders which usually start from around £5. I also thought that since it was only £1.99 that it would not be such a big loss if it wasn't the best product but it had ... ...comes in 3 shades- warm, neutral and cool. Cool being the lightest and warm being the darkest, however there did not seem to be a huge difference in the shades. I chose neutral to be on the safe side. Packaging
The packaging is quite simple (but for £1.99 it is what is expected) however, it is the product inside that counts. It is in a round plastic container with a clear screw lid, a flip top lid would have been more conveinient and less fiddly ...

Advantages: Blends easily, lovely matte finish, no streak marks Disadvantages: none
I've been looking for ages for a decent foundation that's not only a reasonable price but also doesn't sink into my skin an hour after I've applied it.
I came across BootsNaturalCollection. I first bought the pressedpowder and was hooked. I now needed a foundation and for £2.47 I knew I couldn't go wrong.
I bought Porcelain foundation. Dries to a matte finish and blends easily. I chose this one as I didn't want anything that had a colour in it, although this does have slight undertones. I found that it went on easy with a sponge and blended well around the jaw line.
No smell from the foundation and it comes in a little 50ml tube which (I hope) lasts a while.
Brilliant for the price, will be sticking to this brand from now on. ...
