I always use a separate eye make up remover. I have sensitive eyes and I'm a heavy make up wearer so I like to make sure I really do remove make up properly from my eyes due to the fact if I don't I get really bad eye infections which has happened to me more than once or twice in y lifetime and that's after really trying to make sure all last traces of make up are removed from my eyes! So it's an important purchase to me.

I love Boots No7 stuff and if I have a spare few quid I will buy myself from the range to try out. I'd ran out of eye make up remover and spotted this and decided that as I had a £5.00 No7 or Ruby & Millie money off voucher to use in store that this was a real bargain at the knocked down price of £1.90! (Usual price £6.90). Being a little more expensive than I usually spend I had very high hopes for this being a miracle product of some sort!

The Packaging....

100ml white frosted plastic bottle with matching lid and push button dispenser under it. On the front I'm told it's No7 Cleanser & Care, Eye Make-Up Remover For All Skin Types which is 'Gentle double action to condition while you cleanse' and is 'Hypo-Allergenic'. On the back I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, the recycle symbol is shown, size is stated and finally details for Boots are given. All in all it's a nice, simple bottle and I like the fact I can see the eye make up remover through it so I know when it needs replacing!

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle....

Clean and cared for....

Be twice as nice to lashes lashes with this gentle, double-action liquid. It wipes away every trace of make-up, even waterproof mascara.

Ophthalmologist tested, fragrance free and suitable for sensitive eyes.

Directions For Use....

A little facial everyday....

Shake well and gently massage over closed eyes with cotton wool.

Using It....

well I use this on my eyes before using my usual cleanser and toner and particularly use it on heavy make up say after a bleary night out and I'm very much worse for wear!

Now let me just divulge that I wear concealer, black kohl pencil with black liquid glitter eyeliner over the top, waterproof black mascara, eyebrow pencil and lots of good quality eye-shadows along with all the other bits and pieces on my face of course. I couldn't be described as a shrinking violet eh lol.

I squirt a couple of pumps of this out on to some cotton wool (as directed) and it comes out ever so easily, blue in colour and in it's appearance as water so you don't need very much at all.

I then wipe over my eyes and it's very cooling and soothing indeed. It easily lifts off eye-shadows but although it is quite greasy (though not overly so) it doesn't deal very well with mascara's and eye-liners an I find I need to wipe away for ages and with the glitter in my liquid eye-liner I found I removed it from my eyes (as planned!) but it ended up all my face which wasn't a huge problem as I do cleanse and tone after removing the majority of eye make up with this anyway but it is a bit messy and black from eye-liner and mascara smudged and smeared all over my face. However eye make up was removed from eyes!

I'm not impressed with this at all. If it was a pound a bottle maybe then I'd think it was great value!! However it isn't cheap for what it is at all. Although fairly easy to dispense and use I don't like having to rub away at my eyes so much to get results and being smeared with dirty make-up all over my face! It's ok but mediocre at best and really nothing special.

Only available in Boots.
