I hate it when you put on mascara and eye shadow when going out, only to have trouble removing it when you get back in! If your anything like me frantically rubbing does yourself no favours and you just end up making your eyes itchy and sore.
So, i decided to go out and buy a new make-up remover that would work properly. Id tried using wipes before but no matter how well they sell themselves on adverts and in stores they always seemed to be useless when it comes to waterproof mascara.I spotted the Boots No7 one when i was shopping and thought i would give it a try. It was around the time when they were doing an offer so that if you spent over £10 you would get a voucher for £5 off No7 products. Now normally i wouldnt have spent the full £8 for an eye make-up remove but with my voucher it only came to three, so i gave it a chance.
When you first look at it it appears to be slightly odd with two colours in the bottle - a light blue on the top with a darker on the bottom. The container is the usual No7 tyle with the clear bottle and a white lid. Its part of the Daily V collection which is all the products for your face. A bottle contains 150ml and states that its suitable for all skin types. Now the boring bit is out of the way ill get to the point - does it work?...
Well first you have to shake the bottle so that the colours mix and then i put it straight onto my eyelid with a cotton wool pad.My eye was silky smooth and the make-up came off relatively easily. The eyeshadow came off without any problems at all. Unfortunatly the mascara was a little bit harder. Without wanting to rub vigorously on my eye i could only get some of the mascara off. Now my mascara is waterproof and this may not be the same for non-waterproof brands.
My eye was left slightly slimy (hard to explain but not a great texture) so needs wiping with a towel or cloth after application, which means you sometimes get eye powder on your towels - not really what you want. The remainder of the mascara did not come off at all, maybe it would have had i scrubbed a bit harder but my eyes are very sensitive. As a way of clearing the majority of your make-up off its great but if you are looking for a hardcore remover that gets rid of all traces and leaves your skin make-up free then this is not for you.
Overall a good remover but if you want one to impress you then maybe try a different one, as for the price, its not as good as you would expect.
