I have never been a fan of these foaming face washes, or face washes of any kind to be honest. Every brand I have ever tried (and that includes the more expensive ones) have irratated my skin and left a rash behind so I had basically given up on finding one that actually worked and that I liked. Thats why I didnt try this one straight away, in fact this was on the bathroom shelf for a good four months or so before I decided to test it out one day when I was in full face pampering mode. This was actually my moms product and she was always going on about how great it was so this little tube had a lot to live up to. I was really shocked when I used this and realised how good it actually was but Im a little bit annoyed now because I dont think it is available in Boots stores anymore! Anyway back to the review.
This product comes (or used to come) in a quite large blue tube. There isnt anything overlly special about the packaging to be fair but it is very in keeping with the rest of the No7 range. Simple but the product inside does all the talking. This product I think used to be around £7 for a tube but that is such good value for money in my opinion because you use the tiniest amount everytime you apply it. One tube of this will last you about 6 months I reckon and that is using it everytime you have a shower. My moms tube went down significantly when I started using it hehe.
I know the packaging and everything for this has now changed but Im going to review the product that I personally used - this may be slightly different to the new and improved face wash. With this one you simply squeeze out a tiny amount (and when I say tiny I mean about a 5p coins worth) and start massaging it into your face and neck , thats it. Then you simply wash it off with warm water and moisturise as usual. I think as soon as you apply this to your face you can feel how well this is cleaning your face, and when you massage it in I feel like it is giving my face a thorough clean and getting rid of any dirt or make-up that might have been left behind. I reckon this really does give your face and neck a really good clean and I really think my skin feels and looks amazing after I have used this. It does get rid of make-up to a certain extent but only if you dont wear a lot, this wont get rid of really dark make-up.
This is the best face wash I have ever used without a doubt and Im chuffed that Ive just found out this product is still available but under a different name - Gentle Foaming Cleanser. I am definately going to stock up on this again and I highly recommend that everyone else does as well. In my opinion no other face wash compares to this one.
This comes in at just under £8 which is great value for money in my opinion.
