Boots No.7 Intelligent Colour Foundation

The Best Face Make-up (Ciao Hitlist)

I first came across Boots' No 7 Intelligent Colour Foundation in 2006 when I bought No 7 products totalling over £15 and got a lovely free gift of a cosmetics case with various trial size No 7 products and a couple of full size products too. Of the trial size products was a small tube of No ... Read review

"Does What It Says On The Box!"

Advantages: Great look & great feel
Disadvantages: None

Boots themselves say of their foundation: "Ever so clever colour... take away the guesswork with a foundation that adjusts to match the colour of your skin for a sheer, natural finish. Velvety soft, easily blended and so amazingly light you'll forget it's even there." I have to admit that I can't argue with anything in that statement - this foundation delivers exactly what the advertising blurb promises and for me that ...
...for Boots as No 7 is their own brand product. There are often deals on with the N0 7 range so you could, in effect, get 3 for the price of 2 or get a goody bag with No 7 products when you spend over a certain amount (usually £15).  ... more

A tube that is Intelligent

Advantages: light, velvety foundation that matches your skin
Disadvantages: May be too natural looking for evening wear

...had given me plus some Boots vouchers I had got from doing a survey. I needed some Cleanser and a new lipstick. I love bargains and I noticed if I spent £15 I would get a goody bag with several items in it, so that was how I discovered Intelligent foundation. I have lots of freckles so my skin colour is quite difficult when it comes to buying foundation. At a make-up party once the organiser used a very pale foundation as she matched it to my wrist ...
...for 40mls. On sale at Boots shops and online. Colour ===== My tube was medium colour and I nearly had a fit when I saw how dark it was! How do you use it? =============== Just as it says on the tube. But this tube (me) didn’t read all the instructions, and didn’t shake the first few times I used it, but to be honest, it is quite thick so I can’t see how shaking will have any effect. I squeeze a little onto my finger and apply to moisturised ...

...The product: Colour: It comes in only 3 colours (Light, Medium, Dark) so makes choosing the right shade easy. For fair or medium white skin – use light. And don’t worry about colour matching – it will tone in with your natural colour. When first dispensing form the tube is looks dark but don’t worry, on application and spreading the colour adapts and gives a sheer natural effect. The only way to convince you it works is to try it – the women on ...

...just strolling around my local Boots one afternoon, playing with Urban Decay eyeshadows and drooling over Chanel perles, when I walked past the No7 counter. Walking past without a second glance is my usual reaction to No7 counters, as they strike me as a "mum" brand, and far too old and sophisticated for the likes of me. This time, however, I was stopped in my tracks by a big pink sign. I could hardly contain my excitement - written upon this wonderful ...
...to make me squeal with joy - "500 extra Advantage Card points". All I had to do was spend £15 on No7. Quickly, I grabbed a tube of Intelligent colour foundation - in the light shade (£12.99 - only £2 to go!), and a pack of face wipes, and trotted up to the checkout to get myself £5 nearer to a Chanel lipgloss on my advantage card. Stupidly, I hadn't even tried this foundation before I splashed the cash - I'd been far too excited by the points. When ...

Intelligent Colour for Those with Perfect Skin

Advantages: Changes to match your own skin tone, feels nice
Disadvantages: Doesn't conceal anything or give any kind of coverage

When it comes to choosing foundation I inevitably end up with the wrong shade, whether it be because of the lighting in-store or just because my skin tone changes throughout the year. So with this in mind I picked up a tube of this Intelligent Colour foundation on a trip to Boots. It costs £13.75 for a 40ml tube and there are only 3 shades to choose from - light, medium and dark. I went with the medium as I have a fairly average olivey type skin ...
...a sleek black tube which is quite small and neat as foundation's go, and it looks really nice with it's gold writing. It's a squeezy tube so you just give it a squeeze to get some of the foundation out. This foundation is supposed to adjust to your skin tone to give you a sheer, natural finish. The tube also says that it's velvety soft, easily blended, and so light you'll forget it's even there. It has SPF6, which whilst it's not as much sun protection ...

Is it really Intelligent??

Advantages: SP6
Disadvantages: didn't adjust to skin tone, looked cakey, didn't like natural or good, and expensive!

...You can buy it from Boots Stores and it costs £13.00 **Shades you can get?** You can get it in shades: -03 Dark -02 Medium -01 Light I have fair skin and choose the 01 light. **Packaging** Comes in a simple black tube, and you squeeze it to get the foundation out. So its quite easy to get out. **Why Did I Buy This Product?** I wanted something to cover up a few of my spots and bad blemishes on my skin, and wouldn't look obvious like I had ...
...excellent product to buy because all the awards, advertising and reviews. **My Experience** I had a bad experience with it. Firstly it really didn't match my skin tone, I have tried both fair and medium and both never suited! After a lot of blending I looked like a orange tan and this was in a fair shade! In didn't look natural at all and was very cakey on my skin and I put moisturiser before applying it like no7 said to! It also felt like I had ...

Best foundation I've tried!

Advantages: Good coverage, natural-finish, feels so soft!
Disadvantages: Price, but it really is worth it.

What is it? No7 Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation is supposedly as 'light as air colour for a flawless powder-soft finish'. I'm not sure what 'air colour' is, but it sounds nice. It comes in six colours; ivory, blonde, almond, buff, tan & suede. I don't think these colours would suit a range of skin colours though, dark skin tones will have a lot of trouble finding a colour that will match their skin. The following link for the Boots website shows you the range of colours; http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Intelligent-Balance-Mousse-Foundation-30g32731/ - I wouldn't recommend buying online as the colours look a lot different on a computer screen than they do in person. It's a 30g tub of the mousse foundation which doesn't look like a lot, but as they say; a little goes a long way. The product is hypo-allergenic and No7 says ...
