Not long ago I wrote an opinion about Carefree Pantyliners, telling you that they were the very best and couldn’t be beaten. I have recently tried Boots own brand and now I am not so sure.

I thought that, even if they weren’t very good, they would suffice until I could get my usual brand.
I got them home and opened the pack to put the contents in my knicker drawer – I’m sure you must be getting a fascinating mental picture!
The first thing I noticed was that the individually wrapped liners looked very much like the individually wrapped Carefree liners, only not quite as thick. When I came to use one of the Boots liners I removed the wrapping to find that it was almost identical to a Carefree one, the fact that it was thinner being the only difference.

As I said earlier at the moment (3rd September 2001) they are available at two packs for the price of one, so I have been into Boots today and purchased a further four packs! I always stock up on this sort of thing when they are on offer. And, of course, I earn Boots Advantage Points on my purchase too.
Advantages: Cheaper Disadvantages: Thin, don't last, don't absorb smell as well
I tried these Boots pantyliners because they were cheaper than Alldays which I usually go for. There was nothing wrong with the Alldays, just a general need to save my pennies!!
I thought these Boots pantyliners were not worth the money saved. There are far too thin and flimsy for a start. Admittedly, when buying panty liners you want them to be thin, but you also want to feel safe wearing them. They were not reliable, unlike Alldays which I have ... ...absorb the smell as well as Alldays did. Because they were not as 'solid' as other brands they had a tendancy to come away from the pants as well. Overall, these are not worth the money saved, especially as Alldays are often on special offer. Stick to Alldays!!! ...

Advantages: Helps keep odours away Disadvantages: can't think of any right now!
Well I first read about these bags on ciao and thought they sounded mighty useful so I brought myself some.
These which I purchased were from Boots and cost about 99p if i remember correctly. If I am wrong, I am only a few pence out as I remember they were not expensive. They come in a small box (a smaller version of tissue box) in bright pink with flowers on. The box contains aprox 50 bags. On the back of the box there are general instructions on how to use and what they are used for. Also a warning to keep bags away from children. They are bootsownbrand and are found in the female care section with tampons and sanitary towels.
So, basically, you just pop your used pad/tampon/pantyliner inside the bag and tie the handles so nothing can escape and dispose as normal.
Basically the box opens just like a tissue box ...
