Boots Parenting Club Changing Bag
I recieved a voucher for a free Boots Parenting Club Changing Bag when I was pregnant with my daughter, now 11 months, after I signed up for the Boots Advantage Card Parenting Club.To be honest when I first got the bag, I was not amazed or overly excited by it, I don't know why because to be fair it is a really nice bag and what was I expecting for free?!
The bag itself is black and silvery-grey and is easily wiped clean as is the changing mat that comes inside the bag. It has a strong extendable strap and many pockets and compartments. The bag itself has a decent sized main compartment, another which is insulated and has a drawstring cord on it which is suitable for a baby bottle, there are also two smaller pockets on the inside and opposite them one larger zipped compartment. On the outside there are also two more decent sized pockets with magnetic closing.Personally I never really intended on using the bag as I had no use for it, I had already bought a cosy toes, parasol and changing bag set to match my pram. However when I realised that I needed a hospital bag to store all of my first night essentials in (I knew that I was going to end up with a C-Sect before the doctors did - I know just how stubborn my children are!). I managed to fit in the bag one pair of PJ's, a towel, slippers, deoderant, a large book, fresh wipes, toothpaste, toothbrush and other wash essentials, my phone, keys and phone charger!! It may have been a bit of a squeeze but the point is that it all fitted!
Until a couple of months ago that was the only time that I had used the bag. I started to take the kids swimming and thought that it was handy and would be suitable to fit mine and the youngest's costumes and towels in (my older daughter has her own Dora swim bag which she cannot be parted from). It is compact, looks good and from what I have found is waterproof, I am not sure how much but I do know that it manages to withstand the puddly changing room floors. (Just incase you are wondering my partner swiped the changing mat as soon as he seen it - for fishing apparantly!?)To be honest I cannot see a downside to this bag for my purposes but other mothers may if they are using it as a changing bag as everyone knows, babies come with a whole lot of baggage, but you can't complain for free can you.
Overall, it may have been a slow-starter for me but now I find it indespesible and am really starting to like it!Free with a postal voucher for Boots Parenting Club or £25.00 to purchace separately.
