Photo processing you'll probably fall into one of two catergories
1-the consumers who go for the cheapest, complain about the quality spend time trying to get them corrected or having to have them reprinted elsewhere possibly at extra cost thus wiping out the original amount they tryed to save in the beginning.
2-the consumer who goes for quality, they take a little more time on deciding where to go, they may read reviews in magazines,on the internet or take advice on the experiences of friends and family.
You see photographic developing deals with peoples treasured memories and can be an emotional process so you need to go to a company that views the process in the same and that place is BOOTS.
Now why do i think Boots is the best place to go for photo developing,
point 1- All the boots minilabs are digital this means that the end results(the photo's)are of a higher quality. Some of the others have only just started to change there old optical machines for digital.
point 2-It's not just about having the best equipment you need to have the right people in place and they need to be suitably trained.Boots have people working in there minilabs called Processing Production Consultants, these guys are the experts and can not only devolope your photo's they can give you advice on what to do if your prints have not come out how you wished.
point 3-Remember it's the consumer who has taken the photo's and with modern day digital camera's which have a massive amount of different settings it's easy to use the wrong setting or not to use the camera correctly to give the best shots,if this is the case Boots will try to correct your photo's and if they can't correct them they can give advice so that you don't make the same mistakes again.
point 4-They grade each individual photograph checking that it has the correct colour balance, the right density and there are no scratches or marks on the photographic paper.
point 5-They offer a lot of choice on service times (1 hour service if you need them quick,24 hr ,3 day or 6 day if you want a lower priced service)and a good range of print sizes(6x4 size, 7x5 ,9x6 ,10x7 and the largest size they do 10x15)
point 6-They not only process traditional 35mm and aps films they offer a really good digital processing facility where you can print your photo's from memory cards(sd,xd,compact flash, smartmedia and cd)you can choose a 1 hour or 24 hour service(the longer the service the cheaper the cost)and you can choose different print sizes 6x4 or 7x5 or 9x6(the larger the print size the more expensive per print).
point 7-They have Kodak photo kiosks in most of there large stores. These kiosks will print your digital photo's while you wait (thay are more expensive that the 1 hour or 24 hour service) and will also allow you to print your photo's from your mobile phone because the kiosks are setup with a bluetooth reciever(this service is pretty neat i've used it quite a bit)
so as you can see lots of reason's why you should trust boots with your treasured memories. Remember Boots are not the Chepest but they do offer the best VALUE FOR MONEY.pop instore and speak to one of the photo consultants they can give you all the advice and information you need
