I have to say that I totally agree with other comments. The quality of your prints from Boots depends entirely on who is working the day you go in. I have had perfect prints and on one occasion I had 6 films printed and every single one was printed back to front. so any writing was backwards, people and objects were in opposite places. These films happened to be from a graduation day and as you can well imagine were important to the family. Thankfully after hefty words with the manager, the photos were reprinted correctly and all money was refunded. On another occasion, a machine was being fixed so they said that my 1 hour processing would take 2 hrs yet I was still charged the same. What does the in house training consist of in this store? I went there because their prices were reasonable compared to other processors such as Max Speilman, and, as I have an Advantage Card, ( the Boots loyalty points card) I was likely to get a large amount of my money back in points. On the other hand, however, I have only praise for the Boots online Digital Photo Centre. My digital prints were perfect, well exposed, exactly as I had intended them to come out. Having used other online developers including Snapfish and Truprint, I would certainly stick to Boots online, as I have had to return prints to the others due to their exceptional poor quality. If only the quality was as good in store as it is online!

Interesting to read that the service can be so variable - it makes me wonder whether Boots have a kind of "standard photo training course" to send their staff on, if you know what I mean? If not, I think they perhaps should - getting a negative back to front is a pretty basic mistake (and I say this as an ex-photography student with some experience of the developing/exposing process).
Good review that covers the important bits.
