Advantages Advantages Suitable for dry, sensitive skins and eczema, fragrace free, lanolin free

Disadvantages Disadvantages None that I have found

Much to my surprise, my baby boy was born with very little hair. He must have inherited this of his father’s side of the family because my side have all been blessed with an abundance of the stuff. Anyway, when he did eventually get some lovely blonde baby hair I started to shampoo it with the Johnson & Johnson’s shampoo I had brought during pregnancy. Before long his scalp began to look dry and it started to show signs of cradle cap developing. I could only put it down to the product I was using as I had found Alex’s sensitive skin did not like any of the other Johnson’s and Johnson’s ... more

The first time I picked up one of these was towards the end of my pregnancy when I needed to stock up on my baby goods before it got too late. The reason I chose this was because of the offer on at Boots. They were doing Buy One Get One Free on all the baby skincare range. The bottle was a pale yellow colour with a secure flip lid in a matching colour. The sides of the bottle was designed with a wave that made it easier to grip when your hands were wet. The front displayed the familiar Boots logo and clearly stating that it was a baby shampoo. It also states that it is tearless, hypoallergenic ... more

I came across this product quite by accident and it is definately one of the best baby bath products I have bought. My daughter was about 3 weeks old when I bought this and cradle cap was just starting to take hold. I had tried other cradle cap products in the past with my first child, none of which really worked. Within 4 or 5 days of using this shampoo the cradle cap had completely disappeared - i was astonished, especially as this product does not even claim to treat cradle cap. I only wish that I had known about this with my first child. Another plus is that the bottle lasts for ages so is ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent brand and most probably cheaper than alternatives advertised

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None known of

Having a 15 month old Toddler it's not just newborns that suffer with "cradle cap" or very dry skin on their scalp. Having tried using baby oil on Little H's hair before shampooing (as advised by Health Visitor) this wasn't working too well - it just made his hair very greasy looking and the dead/dry skin didn't seem to be going. We had seen a well known Brand advertised on TV but when shopping in Boots Chemist found that they have their own brand (approx £3.59 for small bottle). As own Brand products are usually cheaper than the big named company brands we thought we would give it a go. You ... more

Advantages Advantages good value, lasts for ages

    Disadvantages Disadvantages own brand

Having tried other brands of shampoo with no success ( most resulting in sore red eyes), I tried the Boots Scalp Moisturising Shampoo on the recommendation of a friend. At long last I have found a shampoo that doesn't irritate my babies eyes. It's reasonably priced; less than £2.00 for 200ml. It lasts for ages as well, the bottle we've got has lasted well over 6 months and is used at least 3 times a week. You only need to use a small amount, and the results are pretty good for an own brand product, leaving my daughter with beautifully soft shiny hair, no tangles and no red eyes. It doesn't ... more
