With the sun seeming to be extra-strong this year, even with protection the risk of burning is great. Whether you burn, or simply tan, I'd recommend having a stock of this product at home.
Personally, I've burnt a few times, and each time I've covered myself in this aftersun lotion. Its instantly cooled my skin, and only parts of where I've burnt have peeled. (The product will not make you immune to peeling, but it certainly reduces it with regular use.) That is, however, a disadvantage - lately I've discovered that even though the burn is gone, if you dont continue use of this product you are likely to start peeling. Despite this, the peeling doesn't seem to affect the colour left on your skin - no more patchy tan! If you do start peeling, re-applying this will certainly help.
Its very moisturising (it states that it moisturises for 12 hours), leaving skin feeling soft, and it is easy to apply. A generous application will take longer to absorb, but even this wont take that long, and its guaranteed to soothe and cool you. Its non-greasy and the smell is, in my opinion, very nice. All-in-all its very refreshing and the perfect thing to cool you down after a day in the sun.
It also contains insect repellent, which seems to work fairly well, though perhaps, as expected, not as good as a separate insect repellent. In my use of this I've still received insect bites with it on, though not as greater quantity as I would expect from all of the time spent outdoors.
The packaging isnt the most creative, but the slant top allows easy access to the product. The bottles light blue with a white top, darker blue writing, and reasonably sturdy - its not flimsy.
The price is very fair, and with recent offers in Boots store, its even more so! I'd recommend this product to anyone spending time in the sun, it really is excellent all-round.
