Tea Tree & Witch Hazel and where to buy

I was having a nosey in Boots looking for yet another product to try to help my skin out and I came across Tea Tree and Witch Hazel - it's one of Boots own brands and is reasonably priced at about £3. There isn't a massive range for this brand as it's mostly just about cleaning your face really so you get the foams, facial wipes, exfoliation, night gel, etc... I do think that they are all reasonably priced but I'm not sure if I would say that they are my favourite brand. Needless to say - they're nothing special.

What this looks like

This is a dispensor bottle which is transparent and colourless besides the turquois writing. I wouldn't say it looks professional but it's just nice and simple - nothing to it really. I do like the transparency though because it means I can see just how much foam I have left - the liquid is green so it's easily visible.

Using this product

So when I get up in the morning and before I go to bed and make-up free I push down on the dispensor once or twice into my hand and I have a white foam in my palm which is light and bubbly. I smooth this over my face and rub as if I was just using soap and water and then I wash the foam from my face. My face feels less oily and slightly drier but I wouldn't say that it dehydrates my skin.

How does it affect my skin

I found that this was really soft and gentle on my skin and I had no problems. I would say that anybody needs to try and test a product that will go on the skin as they might be allergic to some of the ingredients/chemicals in the products and could have undesired effects. If you know somebody who has this product then try it on a small patch of skin and see how it affects you personally before buying.

Does it dehydrate your skin?

My skin is naturally a little oily so I would say it does ever so slightly dehydrate my skin but not to the point where it would bother me because my skin is oily so it's something that I need personally. However, I wouldn't recommend this if your skin is already dry as it may dehydrate your skin but if you also have oily skin then I would suggest this as a tester.

Value for money

For £3 I would say it's actually really good value for money and it has lasted me more than four months and I still have half the bottle left. Otherwise I don't think think it's the worlds greatest product but it does the job.

Conclusion

Overall, I think this product is good and am therefore rating this four stars because even though it's really good I just think it's pretty average and there's nothing amazingly special about this. I would recommend this product but I would recommend others as well to be truthful.
