Ive been thinking about writing an op on Boots for months, but theres just a million and one things to say about it, so Ive been holding off. But since Ive been gone for such a long time I might aswell come back with some big ops!
"Boots The Chemist" is one of the best known retail names in the UK, providing health & beauty products that "enhance personal wellbeing." This covers everything from home essentials like toothpaste and deoderant to high end makeup products from Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent.
Boots employ around 75,000 people and their products are sold in 130 countries worldwide. As well as retailing, they have international sales and marketing operations and also develop and manufacture their own products. They have loads of their own ranges, such as No7, 17, and Natural Collection to name just a few.
Boots stores can be found in all major towns and cities in the country, and in several smaller ones too. The stores range from massive ones where you can have laser eye surgery and develop your photos to teeny tiny ones in train stations and airports where you can pick up sandwhiches and essentials like plasters and lip balm.
We all know how it works, but Ill describe it anyway. To shop in Boots, you enter the store, browse the shelves and take what you want to the till to be paid for. If you have an Advantage card, you can collect 4p for every pound you spend, which can later be redeemed on products in the store. The products you can buy with your points have an asterisk nest to their price tag on the shelf. If youre buying something from a beauty counter, you can get advice on your purchase from the counter assistant and pay for your goods at that particular counter.
Boots started out as a chemist, and has grown and grown and now you can buy everything from electrical good like hairdryers and shavers to products that enhance your sex life. There are currently rumours that Boots are looking into introducing a line of sex toys.
Many of the products in Boots cost more than they do in other places, but depending on how much you spend in there, this can be worth in because you reap more benefits from your Advantage points. Its all about how you see it. Some people would rather buy their things from cheaper plaes and skip the Advantage points alltogether.
At the till, you can buy gift cards, which are the new version of gift vouchers, you select an amount and its charged onto a swipe card that you give as a gift, then the recipient can use as much or as little of it as they like and save the rest of the value for another time. You can also top up your mobile at the till, as long as you have an electronic top up card, available from your network provider.
Boots have a website, www.boots.com, formerly www.wellbeing.com where you can buy all their products online. There are usually special offers online too and you can get your Advantage points by logging your card number and redeeming them at the Advantage card machines found instore.
Boots has machines similar to ATMs in its stores where Advantage card holders can check their points balance and browse through special offers. You can print off vouchers to use instore.
In Boots you can buy skincare products of all kinds and for all skin types as well as cosmetics and personal hygeine products, family planning products, first aid and vitamins, as well as perfume and home goods and gifts.
Boots sells food such as sandwhiches with dozens of fillings, sushi, salads and pasta, along with a wide variety of drinks and healthy options and snacks. There is a meal deal system where you can buy a meal for a reduced price.
From experiene I can say that boots stores are kept clean and tidy and she shelves are replenished regularly. Staff are usually polite and helpful.
I couldnt possibly list everything that is sold in Boots because Id be here forever. I go to Boots all the time and buy most of the things I need, like shampoo and makeup and skincare. Holiday essentials like goggles, swimming caps and special shampoo, hair dye and handwash, you can even buy iPods and their accessories, as well as DVD players. Boots is much more than a chemist!
Advantages: FOR ALL SKIN TYPES Disadvantages: ADDICTIVE
...Anyway I bought it from Boots the chemist and it is cucumber in fragrance and the bottle tells you that it is cucumber 2 in 1 cleanser and toner. Let me tell you after I tried this I decided that for me it was a new face in a bottle, lol. It really did make a difference for me, at first I was wary and thought I will try it out later until later became shower time and then bedtime. So first thing the next morning I washed my face and then out came ... ...I feel that the Boots cucumber range has an excellant choice and most do apply to the sensitive skinned person like myself. They have eye gels, and face washes, the list could go on for miles and I will definitely be trying them all out, now that I know I can trust the cleanser and toner.
I do recommend that this is tried by all. ...

...range for any beauty product. Boots No 7 ‘Éclat Instantane Correcteur’ or translated, ‘Instant Radiance Concealer’ leapt out at me from the No 7 make-up display in my local Boots store. Mainly because it had the word ‘Eclat’ in the description written on the slim and elegant black and gold box. The limited information claimed the product would reduce dark circles and under eye shadows as well as puffiness because ... ...glow. The Boots No 7 Instant Radiance Concealer cost a no-frills £10.00, around one third of the price of the more expensive ‘Eclat’ product. So would my cheaper product do the same job as the highly recommended and allegedly superior and clearly more expensive beauty enhancing product? I parted with my ten pounds and proceeded to find out.
The under eye skin area is very sensitive and my prior experience of normal concealers, not necessarily ...

Advantages: Just as good as the expensive brands. Disadvantages: Have to stock up as all the products only come in small sizes.
...was wondering around aimlessly at Boots looking longingly at the range of products on show knowing two things, One I needed them all, and Two my bank balance wouldn’t allow it.
As I was giving up, about to head home I walked past the ‘offer stand’ and there on show was a 3 for 2 offer on ‘Boots own’ Cucumber Range. I looked eagerly at the astonishing prices and started to take interest.
I normally wouldn’t go for anything I hadn’t already tried, ... ...my cleansing routine.
Boots Cucumber Range Facial Wipes:
I used the cleansing face wipes throughout the day when my face began to feel tight and greasy. To use you simply tear open the, stick back down opening on the front of the packet and pull out. This is easy enough until you get to the end of the pack, as then they all seem to want to come out at once, also the stick back down opening tends to loose its stick although I had no problem with ...

Advantages: Makes your lips soft, tastes good, looks good Disadvantages: Have to reapply often
This opinion is on Boots Fresh Choc-a-block lip balm.
I can say quite honestly that this id the best lip balm I've ever used, and I've used a lot. You see, one of my great passions in life is lip balm. Its my sad little hobby. I must have tried close to 100 hundred different lip balms in the five years I've been collecting them.
This lip balm comes in a great little 20g tin which makes it a bit bulky to go in a pocket but its fine to carry in a ... ...and has a brown label.
Its supposed to taste like chocolate but I was sceptical as other lip balms have claimed to taste like chocolate before, only to taste like yacky lip balm. But after I used this once I was amazed at how it does actually taste of chocolate!! And it doesn't even leave a bitter aftertaste like most lip balms.
And as for the job its supposed to do (moisturise lips duh), fantastic!! My lips feel really smooth when I've been using ...

Every time I use Boots Cucumber Facial Scrub I am amazed! Let me tell you about it...
Firstly you should know my skin type so if you're anything like me you can get the best comparison. I have very pale skin which can lean towards the sensitive side. Most facial products dry out my skin, but having said that my face tends to become oily by the end of the day.
I read Vicky27's op on this product ages ago and whilst in Boots saw the product and remembered ... ...is green. Whilst in Boots I didn't see a larger size bottle, not sure if they make it larger. The price is very resonable. If my memory serves me it only cost £1.17. It was also on offer, 2 for 3. That's why I tried the other two products.
So there you have it. Thanks for reading! ...

to other cleansers! I have tried: Simple, Boots cream, Boots number 7, Boots Experts for Sensitive Skin, Clinique, Bifacil from Lancome, Galatais from Lancome, Nivea, Kiel's.
Bad points: after applying the product twice, checked with a with a cotton dipped in a water-based cleanser whether there was any make up left. The cotton was quite stained. I reapplied Liz Earle's for a third time and checked again, this time with an oil-based cleanser. Again, the cotton came out a bit stained. ...

Layering is the key for keeping a fragrance lingering in the air for longer for instance apply fresh moisture body mist or body cream give it a couple of seconds for your skin to absorb the moisture and then spray the Chanel coco madmoiselle fragrance, you will notice an instant depth of the smell. Bathing in their fresh bath gel will make your bath time feel like a sense of luxury and indulgance.

, more a special occasion mascara as it costs £14.50 which is still value for money considering how long it lasts, but is also still a lot to lay out for me as a student. If you buy this product in larger boots stores or on boots.com you can accure advantage points, therefore I would not recommend using the Benefit website itself to buy the product unless it has a special offer running.
I hope this helps you all. ...
