I took a set of photos into a Boots store purely because it was close and I didn't have time to shop around.
The sales service was good, and the people were friendly, but I found it to cost a little more than other shops which deliver the same results. The photos I ordered were standard size (6"x4" i would guess at) and the quality was fine, with no imperfections. I cannot remember how much it cost, but i know it was more expensive than other shops, for example, ASDA which have a rate of 15p per photo.A good thing to look out for in boots is any special offers, make sure they are what you want - and worth it- and you are likely to save the most money.
*Edit* At a guess I think it cost me around four to five pounds to develop 24 pictures.
