'Tell me when this product is in stock' option. For great alternatives, check out the products below! Here's one for the laydeez. Or, let's be frank, those men who are comfortable in their masculinity. But how to describe Bop It Extreme 2 - the Pink Edition? We'll summarise thus... In short it's pink. It bops. And it will infuriate the pants off you. From the people who brought us Bop It, Bop It Download and the multifarious other Bop It spinoffs, comes a shocking pink edition of the talking electronic musical device that will have you spinning, pulling, twisting and generally bopping to the crazy beat, daddy-o. If that sounds easier than it is, you'd be spot-on. Bop It is half game, half challenge, half torture chamber, with lightning quick reactions and a keen sense of rhythm required just to keep up with its devious digital brain. One's core objective is simply to keep time with Bop It's electronic beats by pressing a sequence of buttons and generally manipulating the device as the tune evolves. But that's easier said than done when the tunes keep on getting faster and one's had a few Appletisers. With a whole universe of different skill levels to explore, it will have you and your chums a-boppin' until the wee small hours, as the infuriation grows and a burning addiction develops inside you. It's not so much about hand-eye co-ordination as hand-eye-ear-finger-wrist co-ordination. You dig? Plus it's pink. Very pink. Did we already say that?

Oh, it all sounds dead easy!
Ha! Not so! It takes a little bit of getting used to! I am not blessed with great co-ordination, motor skills or spatial awareness and I took rather a long time to get the hang of it. Conor and Kieran – seven and eight - caught on much more quickly though, and Michael – over forty! - had it sussed from minute one. However good you are at it, though, Bop It Extreme is dangerously addictive. It is one of those games where, every time you mess up and it is game over, you find yourself saying, "Just one more go, just one more go," and before you know it, an hour has passed. If, like me, you generally fail miserably, the computer-generated voice pointing out this fact is jolly annoying!
Is it not a one-trick pony, though?
Well, yes it is, in the sense that you only ever respond to instructions. However, there are several "modes" of play. You can play it as a single player in the way I have described. It has a reasonably long shelf life even in this way because it is so addictive and because you can keep track of your high scores. As you get better at it, the instructions come faster and so there is always the motivation to see how far you can get. This is Vox Bop Solo and you can also play it with others by comparing scores. You could try Vox Bop Pass It, which is the same game with a pass the parcel twist and on the instruction Pass It you must er… pass it! Winner is the last player left in. Or you could try Vox Bop One on One – in this game two players take one side of the wheel each and respond to only the instruction that apply to them. And when you have mastered all the Vox Bop modes, you can start all over again with the Beat Bop modes. These remove the spoken instructions and you need to rely on listening to the various beats as cues for which knob or button to flick, twist, pull, spin or slap. You can also choose different beat styles.
Yes, but I have no children, and this is just for kids, is it not?
I bought Bop It Extreme 2 on a recommendation in a review on this website, and I certainly bought it with my two children in mind. It has certainly proved popular, with not only Conor and Kieran, but also with all their friends. Bop It Extreme seems to have peer group pulling power, judging by the crowds of children knocking at the door, wanting to have a go. We have owned this silly toy for a couple of months now, and it is still out and in use every day. However, it is not just the children playing with it. Michael and I find it hilarious. My dad – who is almost seventy! – is determined to beat Michael's high score of 121 and even my mother falls about laughing and takes her share of turns. I would say that Bop It Extreme could be played and enjoyed by a huge range of people, provided they all like NOISE. It is particularly funny with a glass or two of wine inside you!
Oh, go on then, I am tempted. Tell me the boring bits.
Bop It Extreme 2 is available it seems, from most toyshops or gadget places. I bought mine from Amazon because I am a) lazy and b) had some vouchers. It will set you back £23 plus postage there. Larger Woolworth's stock it though, for £20 and this is the cheapest price I can find. You will need to buy three AAA batteries, as the game does not come complete with them. It is not greedy though – in the eight or ten weeks we have owned Bop It Extreme 2, it has seen constant use, and we have not yet needed to replace them. The game is sturdy and strong – hordes of seven to ten year olds have thrown it around and cast it aside to no ill effect at all and none of the knobs and buttons look worn or wobbly. The manufacturers recommend Bop It Extreme 2 for ages eight and up but my nephew, who is two, has enjoyed himself with it, even if he cannot quite play the game properly. I would think most children from five up would enjoy it and be able to play, although perhaps any older children or adults might refrain from doing too well themselves as a kindness.
Shall I buy it, then?
Oh yes, do! I really cannot think of any reason why you should not, as long as you do not mind noise. Bop It Extreme 2 is N-O-I-S-Y. Really, really noisy. It is also riotously funny. It would also make a fantastic Christmas or birthday present – at twenty quid it seems like quite a lot of money for what you receive but it is well made and sturdy and it does have longevity. In comparison to many toys out there, I think it is excellent value for money.
Is there anything else I should know?
Um… I should add that my high score is eighty-two. That is quite pathetic. Darnit!
Advantages: It's addictive! Disadvantages: Your children hate you when you win
...recently for some inspiration.
Bop It Extreme 2 seemed to jump out on me from the shelves in Woolworths. Shaped similarly to a steering wheel but with no top or bottom to the circle, the device is brightly coloured and has lots of knobs and fiddly bits on it. After turning it over and reading the instructions, I knew that my niece would love it so parted with my £19.99 and left the store. To cut a long story short, we found something else that my ... ...gave the Bop It Extreme to my two children, aged nine and thirteen. Although my teenaged son looked less than impressed then he first saw the game, he has become thoroughly addicted to it over the past few weeks, as have the whole family.
Setting up Bop It Extreme 2 is simple. Three AA batteries, not included with the game, need to be inserted into the battery compartment. Pull the blue ‘Pull It’ button to start the game, adjust the volume by turning ...

Advantages: easy to set up, easy to play, multiple play options Disadvantages: noisy
I first encountered the Bop It when playing with my (much) younger cousins a couple of years ago. I loved playing it, and really wanted my own, but at nearly 30 pounds, it seemed a bit expensive. Fast forward a couple of years and I found the Bop It Extreme 2 for 20 pounds I had to have it!
So, let's start by explaining what it is (those of you who have experienced earlier versions of the Bop it can probably skip this paragraph). Ok, so it's an ... ...think.
How does the Bop it Extreme 2 differ from earlier versions? Well, the original Bop it only has 3 controls, whereas this has 5. The promotional material claims that this version has more variety in beats that you play to than the other. Play
There are 2 different modes of play- vox bob and beat bop. In vox bop a voice calls out the instructions (e.g, flick it, bop it) whereas in beat bop you are played a sound for each of the instructions. ...

...days later. The Bop it is a hand held game which costs £17.99. It looks a bit like a UFO and definitely wouldn't look out of place if it was in the sky at night. There is a big 'push' button in the middle with two arms coming out of it. On one there is a wheel that spins and a knob to pull and on the other there is bulb to twist and a flap to flick. When you switch the game on there is a computerized voice that tells you to either 'flick it', 'spin ... ...to simply find the right arm and follow the instructions in time with a beat of music. If you take too long or get confused then it's game over! I find that the voice of the person is a bit annoying but the main thing is that it's loud so you can't be a bad sport and make excuses by saying 'I didn't hear what it was saying'. That was my dad's excuse! The knobs and buttons are easy to use but when you hands start to get sweaty from the pressure of ...

...instructs you to either
Bop it
Flick it
Spin it
Twist it
Pull it
You have to twist, pull etc the correct extremity in time or else you're out.
~Modes~
Beat Bop - Here you have to pull, twist or whichever depending upon the corresponding sound. Unfortunately I havent found a way to find out which sound is which yet, so I'm basically out after the first instruction.
Vox Bop - The easier mode, here you are told what to doing in words rather ... ...or the green side. The Bop It tells you which person turn it is. And the first to miss loses.
Or you can play in a team, after a certain amount of instructions the Bop It tells you to pass it on. If you miss or make a mistake you are out.
~Good Points~
Its highly addictive, I wasn't sure whether to put that as a good point of bad, but overall I think its a good thing, there are plenty of worse thing to get addicted to.
I guess after a while it ...

...is so much fun. Bop it Extreme 2 is a toy which can easily mistaken for a steering wheel because that’s what I thought when I first saw it. However while we shouldn’t mistake it for a steering wheel, at closer inspection is has four controls on the ends of it and a large one in the middle. Have I confused you further, I think I’m confusing myself here. The controls on it (in reference to the picture) the yellow one is Twist It found in the top left ... ...the centre button is the Bop It and should be bopped upon instruction. Well once you’ve assured that you know where everything is you can begin the game, test yourself. This is where the fun starts. Once begin a string of instructions are given, among which you will hear a beat.
Now as easy as this game may sound, its not so. It takes getting use to, and requires a quick reaction and even better co-ordination. I will warn you now before you rush ...

Advantages: One of the best games ever! Disadvantages: Highly addictive, will drive you nuts!
This review is partially a response to a challenge from BadCompany77 who basically told me to lighten up after reviewing some serious stuff.
BopItExtreme2 is the latest version of a hand held game that has been around for a couple of years. I guarantee that if you originally bought this game for the kids you will end up quietly stealing into their bedrooms to sneak it out for late night bopping sessions. BopitExtreme must be worse than crack cocaine, one hit and you are totally and irretrievably addicted. Forget drink driving, and I mean never drink and drive. Try playing Bopit after a pint or two of lager or glasses of wine and you will end up wetting yourselves with laughter and frustration. During my first late night session with my partner desperately waiting for her turn, I must admit my legs were tightly crossed while ...

Advantages: Mega fun, hours of endless entertainment, educational. Disadvantages: expensive can cause headaches from concentrating too long.
BopitExtreme2 is an excellent game to play for kids and adults alike. It is a fun, fast and exciting game best played with groups of people. When I played it I played it with 6 people and we took it in turns to pass it round. It would therefore make a good Christmas game for play before and after the meal. So really it would make an ideal gift for anyone this Christmas, but is also quite pricey though it is only a toy it is well worth it just for the sheer fun you can have with it.
I think it is over priced for just an electronic toy. A sensible price for me would be about £15, but this toy would set you back about £30. In fact, I have just taken a look now to price it for you and the cheapest you can get this for is, £19.99 plus £2.95 which is the postage price. I have taken a look at other prices slightly lower, but ...

Advantages: Addictive fun, simple to learn but difficult to master Disadvantages: Occasionally non-responsive 'Bop It!' button, voice giving commands can get annoying after a while
Having been introduced to ?BopItExtreme? by means of playing with my A-level Chemistry teacher?s original version of the MB game last summer, I was sufficiently addicted to persuade my mum that BopItExtreme2 was an essential ?household? present come the annual frantic Christmas shopping dash this December. She took some persuading??But this is a child?s toy?? she protested (the youngest person in our household being 16 this was a fair point to make)??Come on?you?ll love it? I said?and in the true spirit of Christmas £25 was forked out in Debenhams and BopItExtreme2 returned home with us.
So what does it look like?
BopItExtreme2 bears resemblance to the steering wheel of a car, but with a section missing from the top of the wheel and another section missing from the bottom. It has an almost spherical plastic section in ...
