INTRO This Review is on 'Bosch 1200 Classixx 5' washing machine which I will try and make as exciting to read as I can. Infact I feel a tune in my head by the singer Pete Burns, who was on celebrity Big Brother this year, that might even help Bosch sell this machine (now there's an idea).. Really pleased with this machine recommend by my mum. Washes really well and is quite quiet when spinning compared to most other machines I have heard. What I love best is that I the larger barrel allows me to wash more clothes in each cycle so I have now reduced my weekly washing down by 1 load! It is also very simple to use: just turn the knob to the desired wash and press the on off button. The only thing I would say is my 18 month old can use it, she shuts the door and turns on the button and we then have an empty machine running, which is not very economical! This Bosh washing machine is absolutely diabolical! I can hardly believe that a washing machine built in 2007 cannot get rid of general stains - blood, fruit squash, egg to name a few. Our Bosh Classixx 1200 S Express WAE 2416SGB/01 is just 3 months old. With 2 children I wash clothes, sheets, towels and so on on a daily basis, but nothing is coming up clean. We use the same washing detergent, fabric softener and stain remover that we used to use with our Hotpoint (7 years old) - the Hotpoint was simply fantastic, and the only reason that we didn't take it with us when we moved house was that ... more

I HAD MY PREVIOUS ZANUSSI FOR 17 YEARS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS, SO WHEN IT GAVE UP THE GHOST I DIDN'T EVEN CONSIDER REPAIR. I DECIDED TO REPLACE IT WITH THE BOSCH BECAUSE THE SPEC SEEMED GOOD, AND THE PRICE WAS GOOD, BUT I WISH THAT I HAD STUCK WITH ZANUSSI! WITHIN A FEW MONTHS I STARTED GETTING WAXY, GREASY RESIDUE ON MY CLOTHES. WHEN I INQUIRED RETHIS I WAS TOLD TO FOLLOW THE TROUBLE-SHOOTING ADVISE, WHICH WAS TO TRY A HOTTER CYCLE.
