I HAD MY PREVIOUS ZANUSSI FOR 17 YEARS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS, SO WHEN IT GAVE UP THE GHOST I DIDN'T EVEN CONSIDER REPAIR. I DECIDED TO REPLACE IT WITH THE BOSCH BECAUSE THE SPEC SEEMED GOOD, AND THE PRICE WAS GOOD, BUT I WISH THAT I HAD STUCK WITH ZANUSSI! WITHIN A FEW MONTHS I STARTED GETTING WAXY, GREASY RESIDUE ON MY CLOTHES. WHEN I INQUIRED RETHIS I WAS TOLD TO FOLLOW THE TROUBLE-SHOOTING ADVISE, WHICH WAS TO TRY A HOTTER CYCLE. IHAD ALREADY DONE THAT, BUT FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS HAVE HAD TO DO THIS FREQUENTLY,USUALLY AFTER A GREASY WASH! ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS THE RESIDUE HAS STAINED AN ITEM PERMANENTLY. I WISH THAT I HAD PERSEVERED WHILE STILL WITHIN THE 12 MONTHS GUARANTEE, BUT DIDN'T HAVE THE ENERGY TO FIGHT ABOUT IT. I ALSO FAIRLY FREQUENTLY GET A RESIDUE OF POWDER IN THE WASH. MY THEORY IS THAT BOTH PROBLEMS ARE RELATED TO THE AMOUNT OF WATER BEING DETERMINED BY THE WEIGHT - SO MUCH FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY- NO POINT IF I HAVE TO DO EXTRA WASHES AT HIGH TEMPERATURES! SO NEXT TIME - BACK TO ZANUSSI AND SAVE BOSCH FOR THE POWER TOOLS!

Sorry for the low marking but there just isn't enough detail here and being in capitals it's pretty laborious to read. I agree about Bosch however. I bought a fridge freezer when I moved from the previous owners. It was only two years old ( they left me the receipt) but it never kept the food cold enough and loads went off. When an engineer pulled it out to see what was wrong a load of gooey black stuff was leaking from underneath and it was beyond repair!
