    Advantages Advantages Easy to use - quieter than most

    At the front of our house there is a large hedge. Admittedly, not as large as it used to be as our neighbours removed part of it some years ago when they moved in. Our side remains as a barrier, effective at keeping out the noise and dust of traffic and useful nowadays as a receptacle in which passers by can deposit their rubbish! It is a very substantial hedge mainly constructed of elm and hawthorn but with more recent additions of ivy, holly and wild clematis (Old Man's Beard).     Advantages Advantages Lightweight, easy to use, cuts small to medium branches well

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery power will only really last 45 minutes and will struggle with thicker branches

    The Bosch AHS 41 ACCU is lightweight battery powered cordless hedge trimmer that makes easy work of trimming hedges and bushes. It is primarily aimed at cutting through small to medium sized branches (not really above 1.5cm in diameter). The battery will need an initial charge of around 5-6 hours before you can first use it and then subsequent charges of around 3 hours. It claims to give upto 55 minutes of trimming time, but I found that it really gave around 45 minutes before the battery started to weaken and it became less effective.
