Advantages: Safety features & detailed instructions. Disadvantages: Electric, therefore needs extension leads or nearby power supply
...I bought this chainsaw when a 10 metre tree fell across my garden fence. I chose Bosch because I have other products mady by this company and they have appeared well designed and reliable. The 1800 watt motor was more powerful then I had expected and the instructions were extremely good covering the safe use of the chainsaw. I am pleased I bought this model with 40cm blade and not the shorter version at 35 cm.
The chainsaw has 2 excellent safety devices, the first requires two buttons to be operated to avoid accidental starting or use by a child. the second is an anti kick back device which applies a brake to the chain if the chainsaw is thrown upwards in the process of cutting a tree or branch. I also like the fact that you do not need spanners or tools to tighten the chain, it has a built in tensioning device which is easy to use...

Advantages: simple to operate Disadvantages: reliability issues
...i had an albeit unfounded and unproven and as it turns out inflated opinion of worcester bosch boilers. So i had one installed a worcester bosch 24i at a rental house 3 beds terraced all went well for 18 months. Then came the problems. A flue fan failure so 2 visits to fix that.
Then a second failure 2 months later, the heat exchanger fails
causing a near total loss of hot water and a flow rate lowered
to a virtual trickle. Having 2 major failures in 2 years both involving expensive parts may not have been entirely due to the boiler performance but i will be installing a valliant in my next property as i have been some what put off Worcester Bosch boilers for the moment....

Advantages: Well made, fairly quiet Disadvantages: None
...The Bosch sander was bought as a replacement for my aged Black & Decker one. After a few years of loyal service the motor had burnt out, this seems to be common with some of their tools so I decided to spend a bit extra.
B&Q had a good range of 1/3 and 1/2 sheet sanders. They ranged in price from £10 (how can they make them so cheap ?) up to about £50. Decided on the Bosch at £30.
This was a 1/3 sheet sander, the sheets are easy to change by moving a lever up on each side. It is fairly quiet and the quality of finish is always good. The sander is well made and was worth the extra....
