Advantages: freezes quickly, large capacity, great manufacturer support Disadvantages: it broke down after 6 months
The BoschGSD 26410 is my mums and was a present from my sister and me for her birthday last year. Trust me, she wanted it and was delighted when it arrived. I was pleased that we had managed to put such a large smile on her face for what was a small considering the sized and capacity of the freezer. The total cost came to only £320.
As a little bit of background I will explain why such a large freezer brought a smile to my mums face. I come from a large close knit family and at the moment there are 8 people living at my parent?s house. Although I left home a number of years ago weekends are a time when we still, both family and friends come together and have at least one meal together, this can result in food being cooked for up to 20-25 people once every week and as my mum gets older it gets harder for her to travel to the shops ...

I have owned a Bosch 2616 freezer for three years and it has been the best freezer I have ever had. The equivalent model now is the GSD 2801 which is appears to be even better. My freezer has a net capacity of 210 litres/7.4 cu. ft. and an EC efficiency rating of C. The GSD 2801 has a slightly larger capacity of 225 litres/7.9 cu. ft. and an energy rating of B with annual running costs of £26.32.
When we replaced our kitchen I decided to have a built in larder fridge and a separate free standing upright freezer which would be located in the new larder area of our kitchen extension.
Prior to this we have had two free standing fridge freezers. The first of unknown make was ‘built in’ to the kitchen when we arrived and I really liked its layout. The freezer area below was larger than the fridge area and it had drawers ...

Introduction
Personally, the invention of the dishwasher has been one of the greatest inventions of recent times. As both myself and my wife work, we need to maximize the quality time we get together. What better way to accomplish this than to shove all the pots and pans into a dishwasher, forget about it for a couple of hours and then put them all away when dry. For some reason we seem to have got through dishwashers like there was no tomorrow (the handle broke on one and the motor went kaput on the second) so when we chose our current dishwasher, we studied reviews on reliability as well as performance and the Bosch came out on top.
