Style, elegance and efficiency - all in one single oven! 06/05/2010

Advantages Looks stylish and modern, easy to use, very affordable and very efficient

We have recently purchased this oven due to ours being outdated and not working very well. Before buying it I have looked in to a number of models and colours and decided that I wanted one that was all black, had a fan oven and one that you could also grill with. The Bosch HBN311SOB certainly looks the part with an all black finish (no chrome or other bits and bobs on it) and provides me with the functions that I wanted. Advantages Fast to heat up, efficient, very accurate oven temperature, pleasing design
Disadvantages Fiddly to set display panel, no grill pan handle

Compared to our old oven this one is a Ferrari. It heats up from 0C to 200C in 10 minutes. The grill is even faster (so if you're not careful it's easy to burn things). The controls - one to select oven temperature and grill temperature (3 heat settings for the grill) and one to select the various oven and grill functions - are well placed and easy to use. When checking the oven setting against my oven thermometer I found the oven temperature was spot on. The display panel is very clear but the downside for me is it also doubles as the timer.
