Advantages: Efficient,well made .reputation for reliability Disadvantages: not cheap
...Well after 2.5 years and many breakdowns i have finally given up on my hoover washing machine and taken delivery of a bosch maxx 1100 spin washing machine.
The machine cost me £420 from a local supplier,it is available for only £343 was the cheapest price i found via www.pricerunner.com.I decided to purchase it from a local shop due to their excellent customer service free delivery and they take away the old machine too.
The bosch maxx so called i believe due to the fact that it takes a 6kg load rather than the industry average of 5kg.
As you probably know for a while now all electrical appliances are rated for their energy efficiency from A-E A being the most efficient and E being the most wasteful.Well the bosch maxx scores A on both energy efficiency and uses very little water per load.

...The Unique Selling Point of the Bosch Maxx models is their 6 kilo capacity. Most machines can take only about 5 kilos. The difference is stunning - instead of doing say 3 washes you can get away with 2.
The program settings are also very versatile - it seems to have an option for every eventuality.
It is also a very quiet machine, even in its extremely vigorous 1200 rpm spin cycle.
We have only had it for a few months, but according to all the published research, Bosch are one of the most reliable washing machine manufacturers, so hopefully we won't have ant reliability problems either.
The clothes all seem to come out pretty clean, particularly from the "intensive stain" cycle - the drawback of this is that it takes an eternity.
Anyone considering buying one should be aware that a machine called the Titan is about to be launched...

...of pretty much everything - spin speed - extra rinses/reduced ironing/pre-wash/programme - it's great
3. Standard of wash - WOW! (more on this later)
4. Soft touch controls - no heavy mechanical timers or buttons - this is all clicky and easy to use.
5. Wide door aperture - fits lots of stuff in the load!
Quick specs: 6kg load, A+AA rated, 1200 rpm spin, 2 year warranty, large porthole, germanic build quality, fair/excellent price.
OK - what does all this mean in real terms. Well - lets put it this way. 5 years ago, our old Bosch machine was AAA rated. This one is A+AA rated (the first A is for efficiency).
In Real use this means.....
The new machine took our kitchen drawer full of tea towels (after a while the white ones took on a "brown" quality) and 1st wash returned them to white.
It washed a king size feather duvet in one hit...

INTRO

Machine failures and great timings
