Advantages Large fridge space and air cooled.
Disadvantages Fairly noisy
The Bosch KGN 33V60 is overall a very good fridge freezer. It has a substantial fridge space and I have yet to run out of room with it. It has a "super" chilling mode which is very useful for chilling a bottle of wine quickly.
The freezer space is quite good to and never has to be defrosted which is great! All the drawers are very easy to take out and clean. The fridge freezer itself is pretty stylish, with it's subtley cureved front and sleek silver edges. I was torn between buying a silver fridge or a proper stainless steel one. I am very glad I chose this fridge and not a stainless steel one. This fridge is so easy to clean the outside, but a stainless steel fridge requires constant cleaning to remove marks from your hands and it is almost impossible to get it looking perfect again.
The fridge comes very well packaged to protect it during transit. Once you take away all the exterior packaging you find that the fridges panels are all covered in a blue plastic. This plastic is very useful as we had difficulties fitting the fridge through our kitchen door and were forced to remove all the polystyrene etc. The protective plastic prevented the fridge from being scratched as we maneouvred the fridge into the kitchen. There were a couple of evident marks on the blue plastic which would have been our nice shiny new fridge's paintwork had the plastic not been on it.The fridge freezer is very economical and doesn't use lots of electricity like some appliances.
The fridge is air cooled so has a fan that blows the cool air around the fridge cooling things much more quickly. The main problem with the fridge freezer is that the fan it uses for the air cooling comes on periodically to keep everything really nice and cool. But this is quite noisy and very annoying. I can often here the fridge when I am trying to get to sleep though it never stops me getting to sleep, you are always aware of the noise it is making. This is obviously one of those things you can't find out when you are in the shop looking for your fridge freezer.
Overall the Bosch KGN33V60 is a very good fridge freezer to live with. Its vast space and great economy make it a good allround fridge. Providing you are willing to put up with the slight noise it makes, then it may be the perfect fridge freezer for you.
